Look how simple, humble and down to earth she is. Most of the other singers nowadays, more than singing, try to show off their talents. Then fake reality shows me rona dhona toh unke daily ka job hain aur unko paise hi milte hain rone aur nautanki ke. I read a comment in a different video of Shreya Ghoshal. Someone commented, "this humble angel doesn't even realize that she is also one of the legends." Hats off to Shreya Ghoshal. I'm proud to be a Bengali and an 80's kid who was raised with old songs from so many artists especially Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Mohammad Rafi, Talat Mehmood, Hemanta Mukherjee, Manna Dey and Geeta Dutt. Now my days start and end with Lata ji, other legends and Shreya Ghoshal's songs.

Nobody in the world can come closer to LM's voice, singing.She had GOD's blessings, she was a special child of maa swaraswati!!!! even her own sisters can not come closer to her singing.and her infectious smile, and big thinking eyes wonderful.what a struggle she had from age of 13.being eldest daughter she took responsibility of her family after her father's death, her mother should have worked and raised the family, any way even shreya sings good, but she sounds nasal plus when she sings we can feel her breathing in between, even Asha B.does.so please do not ever compare any singer with LM for sure.There will be never LM again on this planet ever again.she was the only one GOD created in 8 billion people which are present on the earth.and we are blessed that she was born In INDIA.she was a very soft spoken, gentle soul who always contributed in any kind of National disasters,help for temples, arm forces, earth quakes etc, recently for pulvama attack she gave 1 cross.rupees.i always love hers an icon, because of her being fine human being, she should us how one human being can be.as a sister, daughter,aunt,friend,singer etc can be .she was a excellent cook too.very dynamic personality she had.God must be enjoying her singing and cooking in heaven for sure.she will be allowed to stay int he heaven till she wants for sure.we love her voice and as a human too.OM SHANTI!! love you LAta DIDI!!!!-meeta mahajan raikar-california-usa

U cannot compare Lata ji with anybody. And i don't understand y ppl, whenever they listen to Shreya Ghoshal singing Lata Ji's song they start the comparison. It's is never about the comparison. It's about how much Shreya Ghoshal admires her singing. Yes, Shreya ji has her flaws but if you keep listening to her you will find that she is the mixture of Asha ji and Lata ji. Shreya Ghoshal is the only next singer in world that can sing Lata Ji's song after Lata tai herself. Please don't compare or criticize anybody's singing. We are nobody. We don't deserve to find their flaws

Always a pleasure listening to anything about the one and only, Goddess Saraswati, Ma Lataji. I wish Shreya added that, while Lataji used voice dynamics, she was so subtle about it that one could not distinguish it as a dramatic change, while most other singers use highly dramatic voice modulations. She is the ONLY singer who has emoted a whole range through very subtle modulations. Also, her taans and ghamaks are so supple, it makes the experience of classical songs a highly pleasurable experience, unlike most classical singers who sing taans and ghamaks in a very harsh way. Writing this with due respect to all the great classical singers... And why did Shreya screw up "Kya jaanu sahan" Why couldn't she stick to the original version which is rich in itself. Variations are good but unnecessary variations in fact kill the song. I hope Shreya reads this. Because she does it time and again.
