I don't know why people see PBKS opening as a weakness because if you look closely then you will realise that it's not a weakness for Punjab. Prabhsimran + Josh Inglis ( Both are able to hit big and both are capable to play spinners. ) Prabhsimran + Priyansh Arya ( Priyansh Arya is not yet tested in IPL but he is same as Abhishek Sharma or Jake Fraser Mcgurk. He is a very dangerous hitting batsman and an Indian youngster that means he has better spinner playing skills. Prabhsimran + Harnoor Pannu Harnoor Pannu is a left handed opener who has great timing. He plays same as Shubham Gill. He don't hit every ball coming in the way instead he build the innings and he can definitely do a great opening for PBKS. Prabhsimran + Marcus Stoinis ( no need to say anything) Question in your mind " These domestic youngsters don't have any IPL experience so they can't be trusted" But the answer to this question is simple, The delhi opener JFM didn't have any prior experience but the results we have seen last year. Who knew Ashutosh Sharma before he was picked by Punjab Kings.. I believe the transition of players in middle order of delhi is more effective as compared to punjab because punjab has all explosive middle order and delhi has a more balanced middle order considering the skill set. This transition was also the problem in RR in the 2023 season where there were 4 openers (butler , jaiswal, sanju and padikal) in first preference playing 11.
