Shri Raghuvara Sugunālaya - Bhairavi - Tyagaraja - Dr. M Balamuralikrishna

As the quest continues for finding some unheard Tyagaraja compositions, I chanced upon a radio rendition of “Shri Raghuvara Sugunālaya in Bhairavi”. This song is an excerpt from a programme relayed from AIR Chennai.
Sri. M A Sundareshwaran on the violin and Sri. T V Gopalakrishnan on the Mridangam provide an excellent support to the rendition of Dr. M Balamuralikrishna.
In a 30 minutes track, the time spent for rāga delineation, embellishing the notes in several ways aesthetically, appears to be the focus here and it is beautifully done.
I find the rendition of kriti and the svara-vinyāsam is polished-off quickly in a few minutes, leaves the listener in a longing to listen more!
Probably, a title such as “ An appetiser in Bhairavi..” would have been more appropriate to this upload. 😊
Listen and enjoy the Bhairavi and feel uplifted.
