Update since my other comment! I started using a turkey baster as a gravel vacuum!! It’s great for quick & easy cleaning & when there’s small shrimp in the tank!

I’m still super scared to do the vacuum while the baby shrimp are in the tank

like the video, I love it when my shrimps are playing hide and seek, you don't realise how many you have until the tanks full of shrimp swimming about lol. I have red cherry shrimp and a few chocolate ones that one of them had.

Nice video! Thanks for the tips, especially flipping the sponge to get the algae on top to die off. ✌

My water source is from the creek behind my home all natural water clear clean as crystal so basically I don't need to add anything like salt or others stuff almost 8years so far thing are great, my shrimp died because they always try find a way to get out n stuck on the lid..

just throwing it out there. hot water vs cold water for rinsing. Hot water does nothing to kill bacteria (you would have to boil). Hot water pipes are also often made out of copper, and some ppl may have a lot of copper in their hot water. It would be best just to thoroughly rinse with cold water before tank maintenance. Other than that, great video bud. Keep doing what u do

Do cheery shrimp really need salt, plus my pregnant cherry shrimp has fungus in the eggs. How can you get rid of the fungus without the female dieing
@SooShrimpBreeders4 жыл бұрын
The fungus can be serious if its ellobiopsidea. I would quarantine. And most of the time tap water is fine for cherry

New subscriber here, first thanks for the video I have a question do you think about raising shrimp that we can eat it, like the giant Tiger shrimp, it's may get some kind of profit(shrimps are very expensive where I live ) in the future and it's fun to raise these giant shrimp also thanks in advance
@SooShrimpBreeders5 жыл бұрын
Would most likely be more profit selling them as aquarium friends.

how do you grow that green algae wall? I can't seem to maintain a green wall
@SooShrimpBreeders5 жыл бұрын
It only seems to grow like that on some tanks. I'm not sure why.

It's always good to see how someone else does thier maintenance. I would like to see a video on why we need RO water. I'm very lucky where I live cause I have a well and the TDS is always 30-40 and PH is always 6.8. Just an idea 💡
@SooShrimpBreeders5 жыл бұрын
I'm testing my tap also as it's only 73 tds and 7 ph
