shroom this is unrelated but how do you know if your plastic hit the bottom? normally i can tell but when i'm fishing windy days and fast current i can't tell when it hits the bottom

The line usually slackens but it's hard to tell in wind as you get a bow in the line. You'll have to guess Daniel in most circumstances as it's difficult to tell unless you're used to it

Mate I’d recommend you handle the fish a lot better than what you currently do, especially if you’re practising catch and release. Letting juvenile mulloway thrash around on the bitumen doesn’t do it any favours whatsoever and sets a really bad example to other fishermen, especially the youngsters.
