Shroud casually calling some of the best possible plays LIVE in the moment that even some pros don’t follow/call (they blunder) is a true testiment to his skill and abilty, beyond what he achieved in CS/Valorant or PUBG. I think Esports could still pack Arenas, they just need to not put as much into Production, Player Salary, etc. Too many players get complacent while earning $20-50k+ with zero wins, we got CoD teams getting paid 50k+ per player, without MAP wins, let alone a series.

You had to win to earn a living, people who lost dropped off the map or also had jobs. Its not sustainable to pay for not a sniff of results, or some kind of gain. Only a handful of teams in ALL esports are making any money, and its mostly off content, not the players. It makes no sense for orgs to pay salary, especially when they never used to.
