Almost a powerful parallel voice to Mallikarjun Mansur. What a deliverance! What a powerful control over pitch and the ascent and descent. Can we call it bliss? Yes, I presume. A timeless masterpiece! I don't know why, ఆఫ్టెంటిమెస్, I end up listening to some Raaga of hers. And it shall be undoubtedly an ethereal, surreal, divine and an incomprehensible feeling. Tears, tears, tears of joy and grief altogether mixed up in the heart.

The words are not important here .In hindustani classical music Its the reflection of the Mood of external nature and its relevant link with the inner nature of the singer and the listener is vitally important . It needs some disciline to appreciate this mood sometimes it takes years like the moods of great western classical composer's moods.

MsCocoSwirl Impressed by your enthusiasm. I am not great translator. What Amiya said absolutely right. Same note, word, expression improvised by the artist, gradually, from slower beat higher. Here, the female (Radha) is going to meet her Lover (Krisna). Mero Piya - my love. In fast mood - Chalina piya ki ghar saaje ki sringar - going to lover's place after well make-up/dressed (Sringer). This is with my little knowledge and humble effort.

yashwant charan true without sahitya there can be no song,you may as well just play the tune on a musical instrument. Wish the vocalist would sing the verses first and then the delineation of the mode( raga). Some people like the fast pace,whereas Others like me prefer a more vilambit (slower) style. This singing is top class!
