Eddy: Australia has Laksa but the flavour is not quite, it’s not up to par with Singapore’s 0:51 second question: can you speak Singlish? (Singaporean English) Eddy:can lah, cannot, confirm don’t understand [can with emphasis, can not, definitely doesn’t understand]. (Laugh) I don’t know what I’m saying lol Brett: chop (I think he means chope [reserve - a seat -), hahaha thats all I know Eddy: Just like that lor [ it is just this way ] Eddy: when I first came to Singapore I didn’t understand, I thought to myself ‘is this English or not English?’ Brett: now when I’m in Australia and I hear Singlish I’m able to pick out and understand the Singlish parts. Brett: it can also compliment the sound of the cello. Eddy: it can also compliment the sound of the double bass.
