Cereal before milk or milk before cereal? Shu likes milk before cereal. Why? Watch and find out.
editor’s note: This must be documented, because “milk before cereal” or milk first sounds so insane for the most logical person in Nijisanji EN. Also, what I started to be just a brief overview of why Shu does this ended up being a highlight reel of his Tetris gameplay from his early days - it’s always nice to bring back vintage VoDs. There was also “Is Cereal soup?” but that led down a rabbit hole of other weird Shu thoughts and would’ve made the vid go way too off track. Maybe another future video idea.
Nijisanji (aka 2434) is a group of mostly 2D-only virtual youtubers (“Vtubers”, or “Virtual Livers” for general streaming purposes) managed by ANYCOLOR Incorporations. Its English branch, NijisanjiEN, currently consists of five waves: LazuLight, Obsydia, Ethyria, Luxiem, and Noctyx.
Lazulight consists of Elira, Pomu, and Finana - a solar sky dragon, a forest fairy, and a tropical mermaid respectively.
Obsydia consists of Selen, Rosemi, and Petra - a lunar sky dragon, a rose maiden, and a frost penguin.
Ethyria, consists of Nina, Millie, Enna, and Reimu - a nine tailed fox, a witch (cat?), an angel (bird?), and a ghost.
Luxiem, consists of Vox, Mysta, Ike, Luca, and Shu - a voice demon, detective, novelist, mafia boss, and a sorcerer.
Noctyx, the latest male wave, consists of Fulgur, Sonny, Yugo, Alban, and Uki - a cyborg, officer, DJ, phantom thief, and a psychic.

Honestly, i eat both way. I just pour whichever my hands grab first. If i grab cereal, then cereal first. If i grab milk, then milk first. I'm someone simple as that. i mean, it really doesn't matter since you'll eat it both with milk and with cereal in it. it's a fun topic, tho i'd encourage vigilance in everything we say since there are very "passoinate" ppl disagreeing, worse, hating, on other ppl with such topics. but i personally wouldn't care about milk first or cereal first anyway. Oh yeah, pinaeapple on pizza isn't that bad. i even tried a slice of pineapple on a quarter pound burger. interesting. not mindblowing, but the taste is different, but not bad. at least i get to know how it taste like before i die.

i found it interesting because of how shu approaches eating cereal. you see, most cereal-first people do so because they measure out how much they want to eat - the cereal, and the milk is an afterthought that gets poured to equalize the cereal. it doesn’t make sense to guesstimate the milk first because adding the cereal to equalize the milk might make the meal too small or too much since you put the drink before the meal and made the meal equalize to the drink instead of the opposite. but shu isn’t thinking about cereal as prioritizing the eating, but about the drinking aspect. for him, the milk isn’t an afterthought but an important priority because he doesn’t enjoy its taste too much. in that way, it makes sense to pour milk first because he cares less about the meal and more about the drink

Btw,pineapple on pizza is a must for me and it tasted so good! It just like how tomato are used as the based and both have the sour kind of taste so it is not weird. Anchovies on the other hand....

personally I find milk before cereal super weird because its difficult to measure the amt of cereal u put in afterwards since they float?? with cereal first you can have a good ratio and make sure all your cereal is soaked in well but with milk first its harder to measure and you have to mix it afterwards /my attempt at a 'valid argument'

Step 1: BOWL step 2: pour milk into bowl Step3: put in a little cereal so won’t make a mess Repeat step 3 until full then do whatever with the leftover milk. A cycle like that gets really tedious quickly for most people. so they just pour cereal 1st then worry about the milk and some may even like milk in their cereal all moist. I’m just someone who like the crunch so I add no milk at all so I can’t exactly say much on their front

Milk before cereal for me is a combination of distance and taste. I love to have a bowl of cereal further from my kitchen, and by putting milk first I can bring it somewhere else and then pour cereal. Plus, the taste of the milk after it's had several rounds of cereal is very noice so by then it's always cereal after milk. Glad to have Shu and Rosemi as an ally :)
