This is the first time I've seen this bird brooding, thanks to your footage. It's interesting that it is called "水雉" in Taiwanese, and in Japanese, "Renkaku"(蓮鶴), meaning a lotus crane. Thank you so much for sharing lovely video.🙂💕

Their plumage is similar, but the males are smaller than the females, and the males are responsible for incubating eggs and raising and caring for the chicks.
