just be free -> don't think of any techniques or steps or whatnot just listen to the music and have fun. I kind of get the most of these shuffle/cutting shapes tutorials and can do them to an okayish level but in the club I absolutely don't give a fuck about that and dance just fine without it. If you're a beginner or very stiff I'd recommend looking at other people and copying them. I was a maths and gamer guy so I was absolutely wooden/ice cold when it came to going out and in the beginning just copied other people to get it rolling. If you can't relax a glass or two can help just don't overdo it hahahaha I've noticed that after practising these steps a lot back home, sometimes when dancing I can very easily and naturally incorporate and add them - this may not be the best and perfect at first but when having fun it's very easy to experiment and iron it out

Yes, extremely helpful! I need help transitioning from one move to another and yep, I’m the hoppy, bouncy one. I feel like I give it too much effort instead of more refine movements. All these videos are helpful, so all you are willing to share would be great!

Please do these weekly they are sooooo helpful!! Imma noobie and its hard tagging on the back of shufflers with a year or few experience because they dont break moves down enough because its become natural to them but for total beginners even basic moves are like wait what?!! Please do more videos they are helping me so much on my journey and I love your energy and vibe its so fun / funny / authentic!

I think I know what you’re saying for tip three. Versus trying to think of your next move slow down and FEEL THE MUSIC. Breathe into the music and let it take you to your next step. That is flow. These are great tips thank you so much! Needed a good refresher to get me inspired to shuffle again

Thank you for another amazing tutorial/tips video. You are a gifted teacher as well as dancer. Keep up the good work, you've helped countless numbers of people not only learn to dance, but enabled them to come out of their shells by giving them a tool to express themselves. Stay cool, stay lovely, know that you're always loved by someone, and remember to "just dance, dance, dance." ~ JT

Thank you for your tips. To me, the most important thing in your video is to understand that dancing is expressing yourself. Many people use their arms when speaking to add somme "support" to their story, to express emotions... But when they dance, they are completely blocked. To me it's due to the fact that they don't know what to express "over" the music (especially with electro without any vocals). We are living in societies where it's not well seen to express intimate feelings unless it is to complain (especially for boys/men). That was my feeling after watching your very interesting video. Have a nice day :-)

I wanted to learn a dance and my friend recommended shuffling. I must admit I had a preconception that women did it mostly...they're everywhere in vids after all. But after watching yours and giving it a go I'm into it. I enjoy it, I'll add it to my workout and learn how to boss the dancefloor at the same time. Fuck it! I'll learn it from you.
@roberthunter48845 жыл бұрын
Emylee is by far the best instructor, she explains it in a way that anyone can understand it. If you want to add a little more flair and unconventional moves, go to Sven Otten's KZbin channel : "Sven Otten - JustSomeMotion" (He's the blue suit guy you see in all the videos). He learned to dance watching KZbin tutorial videos as well, then he added in a few ideas of his own and created a unique style. He also has tutorials, but I really like Emylee's the best, and I've seen tons of useless tutorials.
