My First 2 Collector Fights | Darkest Dungeon 2

My first time fighting Collector! I have a lot of experience fighting him in DD1, so I was curious how the plays out in the sequel. Mechanics are largely the same but obviously improved to fit the new token system. Other than that he feels similar to his previous incarnation, where if you have a bad team or he catches you at the wrong time and it can go really bad. Love it!

I love how much combo utilization collector has with his heads. The combo token is basically his head.

Had a sustain team with Poet, Sergeant, Virtuoso and Maniac and was perfectly prepared for Exemplar & FF when this guy pops up right before Oblivion's Rampart, perma respawns ordained heads and absolutely demolishes my party. Dunno why but I stood ZERO chance. Wasn't even my first encounter with him... guy hit harder than every confession boss. Felt weirdly unfair.

Glad i can finaly give Barristan his head back. Seems like Red Hook balanced out the piwer of the heads, and honestly i like it. Altough i would like it if Highwayman could do something more. Like giving himself crit tokens. Altough it would be a nightmare it would be fitting.

I remember in dd1 I lost my bounty hunter as he was hit by a first head hunter which crit for like 50 bringing my character to deaths door followed by another headhunter killing my bounty hunter in the next turn.

I wanted something fun and different is all. As for carcass itself, since it does no on hit damage you want to use bleeds to help out and run some big damage paths on the rest of the squad to compensate.

I have a question. Does the shroud fog also applies during death or collector fights?

It does during Death, but it shouldn't during Collector. The trigger are the fisherfolk being present. Death is a 2nd wave of a fisherfolk fight so the fog carries over, but Collector replaces the fight entirely.
