I had a girl say something about my mama and I told either a teacher or a lady who worked in the office and she was like, "Does she know your mama? So, what do you want me to do about it?" I was so hurt and devastated by what she said, I felt like I was at fault and it made me hesitant to report any other bullying because I felt like it wouldn't be dealt with seriously or believed

When I met with the Director, I told her that she needed to meet with the child's parents bc I needed assurance that this was being addressed so it wouldn't happen again. The Director proceeds to tell me that she couldn't assure me that the other child wouldn't bite mine again. So, I told her, then I can't assure the mother that I won't whip her tail the next time her son bites mine. I don't know if that little boy ever bit anyone else, but he didn't bite mine again. It really hurts knowing someone is hurting your child. When my daughter was very young and attended before & aftercare while in elementary, for a few days she would approach me upset about one of the girls bullying her physically. The employees talked to the girl and her mother but, that didn't help. I told my daughter that people will do to you what you allow and told her to hit her back. Well, it happened again and my daughter didn't defend herself. Enough was enough. That child had pushed my daughter, kicked my daughter in her back, and used her hand like it was a claw to grab my daughter's stomach, which showed a light bruise. Although it was done by a child, it was still abusive and violent. Because my daughter had never experienced this before and I knew she was scared, I had to light fire under her. On the way home, I told her that she had the right to defend herself when someone enters her space, and hits her. I also said, "the next time that child hit you, push her down so hard that she won't want to walk by you anymore". Since I gave her permission to defend herself, and to light that fire under her, I also said, "the next time you come to me upset about this girl, and you didn't defend yourself, I'm gonna whip your butt. Mind you, my daughter has never been in a fight, an only child, and our home environment was peaceful with just her and I. When we got home, I put on one of Billy Blanks Tae bo tapes to build up her confidence and prepare her for the next incident, because I KNEW it would be another one because of the other child's home environment. In conclusion, when I got to the Daycare the very next day, the Daycare worker in excitement rushed to me and asked what I had told my daughter. Btw, they were frustrated with that child bully as well. She said the kids were outside on the jungle gym, and the girl started on my daughter. She told me that my daughter pushed the girl off of her, and the girl landed on the ground, which was heavily covered with mulch, which I thanked God for. My daughter then, JUMPED off the jungle gym and ran to the girl, jumped on her and started WAILING on her. They had to pull my daughter off of that child. That girl respected my daughter after that, and never assaulted her again, and in time they started speaking and playing together again. I was teaching my child to respect others, which included children as well, and to not start fights. But, I soon realized that we had to enter the phase opposite of what MLK preached. Although I don't condone violence, and felt sad for the other child due to her environment, I was so proud of my daughter, and it was nice to be greeted by her with that beautiful and cheery smile again. 🤗❤

I was bullied for three years in elementary school that will never be a good , but when I turned around that day to knock down, whoever was standing in front of me, they all ran, but yes, for my children. None of my children were bully first of all when my children went to school I went to their school and started working, whatever the principal needed I was there to put my hours in. I’m talking about my grandchildren. If I was with them right now, I’d spend half my time in high school praise God. parents if you ever worry about the school, your children are going to go with them go with them. If you can’t send somebody that’s home to the school. Every school should have a place in it where parents can go and spend the day at the school and do parents things, God bless us all

Some of these kids be getting bullied at home by their verbally/physically abusive parent(s) or sibling(s) and take it out on the first kid they are able to at school. It definitely starts at home in some way. It's got to stop💯

I hate to say this this happened to my niece at six years old every day when I would pick her up from school, it was always this one little girl that would beat her up. One day. I picked her up and I made her fight that little girl and she ended up beating the little girl up and she had no more problems. I’m sorry I’m from old school.🤷🏽♀️💯‼️

Truth be told most times if the child is a big bully it’s because he’s being bullied at home or he’s learning it from the parents. 🤷🏻♀️

I ain't mad at him, Shuler. The bully's parents did nothing to deter their child from bullying another child, so reaped what their child had sown. I believe the correct word is RECIPROCITY.

I had this problem and I reminded the school that my child is legally in their care and I expect reasonable care to be provided which includes taking necessary steps to ensure my child’s safety. I also ask that a message be given to the parent of the bully that I will press charges should this conversation again arises. I don’t have this problem anymore.

its weird how most black women are ok with him resorting to violence. there's only 2 sane responses from black women in these comments. thats scary.

When my daughter was in middle school she went thru the same thing. I went to the school, I called the school and nothing was done. The bully girl who was 4 times the size of my daughter also had assault charges on her for another child she had bullied. Finally I went to the parents and they did take care of it I must say. So yes I understand too.
