Lol. I don’t let my cats on the counter. I know they don’t do it when I’m home, but when I’m gone I’m sure they do. I always prewipe the counters with paper towels before I cook because I don’t want cat hair in my food. I was just showing my daughter that yesterday. She was asking why I didn’t just wait till after. So I wiped down with a paper towel and found 1 cat hair. Even if they don’t get on the counters their little hairs float off when they shed and land places like dust does.

You have a good point. At my first job we had a potluck and my young self went over to get some of the potato soup. I took the lid off and saw a cat hair in the soup. My boss said oh just scoop that out. No way. I haven’t participated in another potluck since and that was 20 years ago. I went to a coworker’s house once and the cat jumped clean over me while I was sitting on the couch. Scared me to death and I ran outside. I do not have any dealings with people with cats. We can be your friend but I’m not eating your food and I’m not coming over.

Things like Siamese cats are going to be more mean. Tabbies are pretty friendly, like I have my Tabby right next to me while I'm writing this, and he's like rubbing up against my hand he's really claiming and relaxing to just have in my room. (Cat are pretty good pets for introverts, which may explain why I like them so much.)
