As a special needs parent, it appears that this little girl has a sensory processing disorder issue. My son is autistic and he does this alot as he has sensory issues as well. I always have to watch him. I try not to take him out during flu season unless I have to because he will lick the shopping carts or anything smooth. It's a texture issue. I too like many others would have not gotten away with this with my mom back in the day as I am neurotypical. However, atypical children struggle with this, in all honesty the little girl is just probably seeking sensory input. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Same scenario - in line with a family and little girl was scratching and DEEP digging in her crack. Her family ordered a large popcorn for the group to share. My mother saw EVERYTHING we were doing and stopped (trained) bad habits before they got that bad. (And our butts were clean so they didn't itch.)

I had a theory like this... Cuz growing up as a backwoods country child, we played with ERETHANG! We might as well have played at the city dump. Didn't even wear shoes half the time, no matter how many times our feet got cut or our parents threatened us with hookworm. But we hardly EVER got sick! Guess we had developed our immune systems into armored tanks. But that was in the 80s and 90s. I wouldn't DARE try that mess today. Heck, I don't even walk on my OWN floor barefoot no more!
