Glad you brought this up! Ri has A LOT of help. She probably has a chef, maid, nanny for the kids / house and she has a make up artist, and hair dresser to do her hair as well as a stylist to put together fits for her. The average woman ain't got all that.

I don't do makeup at all ever, but I do make sure I'm dressed and clean and smelling nice when my man comes home. I may be all day in my jammies doing my house work and whatever, but I make sure I get dressed and brush my hair and get a little spritz of perfume by the time he's coming home. He doesn't ask me to do that, and probably wouldn't care if I didn't, but I like feeling and looking my best for him after a long day at work.

My mom did this. Not to Rhianna's extent I'm sure, but she would stop what she was doing and go freshen up. Washed face and combed hair at a minimum. And a little spray of perfume. I thought it was kinda cute once I got old enough to understand it. And I think it helped her to flip a switch after a long day. All of sudden she was lighter and brighter.

My mother-in-law gave me this advice when I stayed home with my first son, and I’m really glad I decided to listen to her because it is a nice touch just to show that you care. My husband did appreciate it. 🤗

I know regular women who swear by staying pretty at home… especially older women… They still put on perfume in the morning and a little makeup and a nice outfit… at night, it’s a night gown with satin or lace with a feminine robe and slippers… And these women have children and a whole household to run… I really admire women who still want to be girlish even if it’s hard for them to do!!

Its a form of self care and the late Zsa Zsa Gabor said it best: “Any woman who slaps around the house all of the time with grease on her face and curlers in her hair in front of her husband is a dumb woman and so is the husband if he allows it” (men don’t get too comfortable either - still do your best too) Nobody is saying that you have to be run model ready. But be decent, presentable at least well groomed. It shows that you care about yourself and that you’re still trying in the relationship. And for the ladies, just because you’re a mother doesn’t mean that you can’t continue taking time for yourself. You can’t pour from an empty cup and it’s not cool when you’re projecting your insecurities onto other women who do make time.

Shuler King, I always agree with you. In this case however…I was raised in Zimbabwe. I was raised to always look good for my husband so that he doesn’t think someone else is sexier than me because it’s a partriachy society…my mum be like When he drops you off at work. He should wonder about your day not the woman in his office…when he gets home…house, them kids, mum all did did…I am not saying it’s a good thing or bad thing…but it’s real advise woman to woman in certain societies…when you are married you got to look hot all the time!

I met this woman with 2kids and I work 3rd shift so I get the point she thought she supposed be like that when I get off I said girl when do u sleep then taken care of 2 kid😂😂I told her u already beautiful with out that stuff,and besides if she spent time getting pretty who cooking 😂 sidenote when u rich u can spend hours on make-up an hair.
