There's technically a slightly faster way of coloring the shulker boxes. So I get a stack of chests, 2 stacks of shells, then hold the "drop item" button (I bound mine to K so I never press it by mistake, but by default it is Q, if I recall correctly.). Let them drop onto the floor. Then similar to what you are doing where you click twice, once to place the shulker in the crafting area and again to get the box out, instead: hold Shift and hover ready above "drop item", click a box to put it into the coloring area, then press Q to drop it directly to the floor. What happens is that as soon as you place a new box into the coloring area, an uncolored box from the floor fills your inventory. That way you can click the same spots instead of it getting farther between each mouse input as you get toward the bottom of the inventory. It seems like a small thing, but I think you will notice a difference when coloring that many boxes.
