1967 - 1975
1967. The M75 series was one of Shure's most popular, in production of 28 years. Based on the V15 Type II platform, Shure continued to make improvements to the cartridge with upgrades to the stylus assembly while keeping the original 1967 body.
1969. The M91 series used the M75 body but had an improved low-mass cantilever similar to the V15II for higher tracking ability.
1975. The M95 series was based on the V15 Type III incorporating many of the technical innovations including a high efficient pole design and a high energy magnet.

Sound seems to get smoother and slightly more transparent in each generation, quite good

It's also curious how the early versions of the M75 and M91 (the ones mounted on the metal clip) allowed to be completely interchangeable between its styli. Then Shure bizarrely went out of their way and incorporated a plastic body so that you couldn't do that anymore

I ordered a replacement for my M75 a few years ago. I got the N75 from JICO Japan. It's bonded, but sounds wonderful.

The last one was imho the M95HE. At its time clearly the best budget cartridge out there. I had one in my first setup on a Pioneer PL-516 which sounded very nice, although later i learned that it realy (!) shines soundwise on a lower mass tonearm like on old Dual turntables or the japanese turntables with straight carbon armpipes. Shure couldve sold this one - like the V15 series - forever. Especialy since turntables are back again. But imho corporate greed stood in the way.

Such a pity the nude m95 ED and M75 ED Styli are no longer available..I think even the later Mexican ones were bonded....Also most aftermarket replacement Styli don't have the tie wire of the original suspension apart from the full price Jico....I have a few M75 ED bodies and an M 95 ED plus A V15 mk III also..All have various uses and I have tried various aftermarket styli.Including the Jico SAS on the V15 III...I find that the Thakker non tie wire M75 ED Styli tracked better than the Jico tie wire M55 E..I have an M55 E also..The Thakker non tie wire styli were badged Jico on the box..The Thakker non tie wire Jico on the box could not track at all..Same with the equivalent M 44 G....I actually found the Swiss M75 G Styli better trackers that the Jico non tie wire also..Same with the Swiss Vi5 III much better than the non tie wire Jico....The M95 ED I am still experimenting with,,I have only tried the Tonar I think Swiss styli looking at them around 1.5 grams....I run the Jico non tie wire black m75 ED at 1.7 grams and the Yellow/cream M75 B Styli at 2.7 grams, the M75 B for rougher condition records....These track and sound good there... I am using an Anologis Black Diamond on the V15 III at the moment at 1.35 grams,,I actually prefer it to the Jico SAS..I found the SAS a bit boring at times...I think the Analogis is a bit of a finer profile than the usual 3x7 elliptical that seems to be the normal profile these days for aftermarket styli..Nearer the original 2x7...Hope I haven't stopped myself from getting replacement styli now...lol...I am still very much getting to know these new styli...Thakker really hiked their prices a while ago..Plus were not very understanding about my badly tracking V15 III and M44 G styli they sold me..When I said I expected around the same performance I got from my M75 Styli,,they blanked me..I don't know if the Thakker Japan Jico, non tie wire Styli are the same as they were in 2018 either..So I am not telling people they are still a safe bet..I know the older ones were good...I had the M97 Xe and thought all the 3 older Shure models sounded way better even if with aftermarket styli....It's a pity all the EJ replicas are 3x7 profiles..I reckon 2.7 grams is a bit high to track a 3x7..Proper 4x7 EJ's would be good..Also the 4 to 500 pf loading I find can make a big difference...

Sí, internamente son iguales: 650 mHs, 1550 Ohms. Si mal no recuerdo Shure solo cambiaba la composición interna en las V-15.
