Probably doesn’t have the preamp or a cloudfilter.

You have to point the capsule directly at your mouth, otherwise it will weaken the signal and make your voice sound lighter.

Definitely NOT the Rolls Royce of microphones, but ok

@@GoMode2.0 I would say you need to own and use more microphones.. 👍🏼 the sm7b is definitely a good mic.. but think what a Rolls Royce is in the car world.. it's not just a good car.. it is the pinnacle of a luxury vehicle.. the sm7b would be like the high country Silverado lol.. really nice and reliable, as far as pick up trucks go.. but no where near the Rolls Royce's 👌🏼

@NinjaGavin 😂😂😂😂😂 I get ur point though I own both mics. Until you buy it it is. If your like me with tons of cardioid options too that are nice you feel a bit silly and underwhelmed. I like mv7 more but sm7b gets used when I record drunk more on other channels I have for dubs. Why? It's consistent and predictable

@@DanMarcelino I’ve had a fair price range of mics, from 50-450, and I can say that the sm7b is the rolls Royce. I’ve been in a rolls Royce too so yeah, I’d say it’s the same way, expensive, not the best but pretty good, and luxury

@@GoMode2.0 lol I hear ya, but there's your problem.. 450 is really really cheap for a mic. I'm talking 4500-20k for a mic. sm7b is a nice mic, but definitely not the Rolls Royce.. I'd put maybe a Neumann m50 as a Rolls Royce.. damn that mic is so thick and smooth 👌🏼

You can definitely tell a difference but your audio levels are just so low. And I don't know what else is going on but this does not show how well both of these mics can actually sound. Not a good demonstration in general.

Hi. My friend and I are planning to start recording podcasts together, but we can't agree on whether the quality difference between expensive and affordable microphones is really necessary. I suggest buying at least an MV7 or an SM7B, while my friend prefers microphones in the Podmic price range. Do you think the difference between these two microphones would be noticeable for listeners? Do you think we should go all out and choose established, high-end products, or would more budget-friendly microphones suffice? Thank you for your recommendations.

Yeah they both sound Great but the SM7B has a slight edge... It sounds more smooth in my opinion

More like the Toyota Corolla of microphones. Good for a dynamic (although the EV RE20 is better), gets the job done, lasts forever, but not a condenser and certainly not a Neumann, Brauner, Manley, AKG or Microtech Gefell.

Ok - for you the SM7B is the Rolls Royce of microphones - and obviously the Dyson is the Rolls Royce of hairdryers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I suggest you stick with doing up your hair! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
