B&H Photo Video I do a vlog at comic book conventions and this means I might interview someone or record myself talking about something going on while there is a lot of ambient noise. Right now i use the MV88 the model before this one and it is phenomomal but I am now stoked about this one because of the accessories and that i can still charge the battery and add a headset if neeeded.

Great vid. Can you, or one of your subscribers, PLEASE let me know if the MV88+ is fully compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra? (Shure site doesn't indicate yet). If not, is there a mic out there for Android Note 20 Ultra that's as good as the MV88+ please??

The newest update to the Shure MOTIV app may not work with the Samsung Galaxy Note ULTRA. It is compatible with Android 8.0 and higher. My android doesn't have a type C input it has a micro usb....the same i believe is on the mv88+ so can i use a cable with the same micro usb on both ends? I'm thinking i can but just seeing if anyone's knows if it'll work ok.

The microphone body has a micro-USB. With the proper micro-USB cable you may connect to a phone with a micro-USB microphone port. >Mark

Hi! I'm wondering, is there a way to connect this little beauty to a DSLR camera? I know that the built-in connectivity is one mini-usb (for devices) and one 3,5 jack (for headphones)... that said, is it possible to connect the DSLR by the jack input? If not, maybe trying connecting the Mic to a "mini-USB to USB-C" adaptor connected to a "USB-C to jack" cable? For the price it would be great to have the opportunity to work with different devices. The mono cardioid setting is a smart choice for an interview focused on a single subject. The microphone would be used very close to the interview subject. >Mark

I have a problem with the shure mv88+ using filmic pro. I sometimes have clips having different gains for audio. Do you know if the mv88+ gain is solely determined by the gain level you set in the motiv app? There is a slider in filmic pro but it seems to have no effect.

Just got this camera & it doesnt appear to work on Facebook Live Streaming I have a current android phone. When I plug mic in its GROSSLY distorted, when I unplug and settle for using phone mic.. it works on Facebook. Any suggestions why its distorted? Is it a setting that I havent found yet? BTW, Mic works fine when pluged in for independent use... just not facebook. :(

I own the MV88, and I NEVER use it!!!! For vlogging its almost useless. Maybe for music and landscape stuff it may be "good", but for vlogging and just normal videos where I'm speaking you cant go wrong with the cheap Rode SmartLav+. I bought the MV88 for $180 CAN, used it a few times before realizing its not good for vlogging, so wasted money. The Rode SmartLav+ I have 2 pairs. Hope this helps someone not waste money like it did :)

@@kevinw1717 I use the Rode Lav for everything, and I have the MV88 and Blue Yeti, but the Rode Lav is always in my office and bag (I own two pairs but will soon give the Rode Wireless Go a try, the price is right on that and so far the videos/ reviews I seen are impressive. The Rode Lav can be found on Amazon in a case with a case and accessories. I HAVE ZERO COMPLAINTS and on my page you can see Im talking to the Lav in the cold windy winter day with loud people around me and the voice came out great. Well this mic pick up sounds such as stomping and kids running and banging so loud that the floor in my apartment vibrates? I tried using my cell phone mic and I couldn't record the banging sound although it appears loud to me.
