I really like how you do your video's. The correct information without an overload of information. I have watched over time many shutter card videos. Your video is my favorite. I always had a little space there between the shutters. How you did it made so much sense. Thanks for all your videos. Please keep making them. They are very much enjoyed and appreciated.

This looked difficult but I went straight to my desk to give it a try since I needed a card today for my grandson's birthday and had been trying to think of something unique. I made one with a hunting theme since that is where his interest lies. It turned out great and I put Happy 18th in the shutter opening. My husband thought it was amazing until he opened it and reminded me that our grandson turned 17 today not 18. Guess I am ready for next year! As usual wonderful easy to understand directions. Thanks Sam.

I had watched a couple of Shutter Card tutorials and was getting more and more confused. Your video was EXACTLY what I was looking for - thank you for such a clear tutorial. My first Shutter Card will be posted here on KZbin on October 7/2020 and I will be linking your video as well as linking it on my coordinating Blog Post. Cheers!

Thank you so much for this lovely tutorial. I first saw one made by someone else, but she used a specialty die set which I do not own. I am very appreciative that you show how to make this without the specialty die set! You always have the most clever and fun ideas! And thank you for explaining everything so clearly.

I've noticed that there's a few of the crafting card community, that follow in making the same cards. Is this because your all employed by a certain company, who give you instructions about which cards they want shown? I'm not being facetious, I'm genuinely interested Sam. Of course this is a great card to make and I thank you for your inspiring tutorials. I might add, yours are my favourites. 😊 Clear and easy instructions and beautiful papers. Very enjoyable. X

Hi Carole, there are hundreds of card making KZbin channels. I don't work for any company apart from myself and make what ever I want. I know some You Tubers have restrictions or are directed on what to make. I also have other You Tubers who make some of my projects and I, there's, that's how it all goes really, sometimes a card style comes back into fashion and everyone is doing it. Hope that helps a little. Glad you enjoyed the card! 😁

Mixed Up Craft, thank you very much for your reply Sam. Your the only one who's actually answered that question😊 Still recon that independent is the way to go. Much more freedom and individuality found there. In my humble opinion. 😂What ever that's worth eh. I have made lots of cards in the past (for ever and now they are expected. I've made a rod for my own back😂) I now look out for your card tutorials as guidance for new ideas. I do however do a bit of mixing up myself, but I always credit you, if I've used your idea. Word of mouth is a very powerful tool. Best wishes. Carole. X

I was looking for a design to use with the saying, "Peek-a-Boo" for a new baby card. I think this will be perfect! Just trying to decide exactly what characters to use and where to put "Peek-a-Boo"? The inside sentiment will be, "Welcome, Little One". I've been asked to make it for my friend's expected grandson, baby shower. She offered to pay me so I want to make it really nice. Thank you, can't wait to try this.

Simply brilliant Sam! Thank you so much showing us the technique of a Shutter Fold Card! I struggle with inches (I have grown up in Germany with cm and mm) but I certainly will give it a try. You do such lovely cards! I have done hate fold cards but not this way. I will have to give this a try sometime. I started as a Stampin Up Demonstrator 4 months ago but haven't had any sales as of yet😪 Not sure if you're in the USA or not but I have been trying to let card makers know so they can order from me. Seems like everyone that I know is already a DEMONSTRATOR or has one or out of the USA.

Loved this video! Not only is the design so clever, but well done on your coloring. Love the inches being I'm in the U.S. (California). Any way to have a simple cheat sheet with the measurements for the pieces cut? Will save everyone going back and making notes being sizes so critical. Just subscribed to your channel...been stamping 25+ years but love new creative ideas.
