Shuttle Tatting - Self Closing Mock Ring

Self Closing Mock Rings are just 'fake rings'! They are chains which LOOK like rings. We can get a beautiful flow to the shape of our 'ring'/chain combination - it has a much softer appearance than a true ring/chain combination or a thrown ring.

Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed the video. It's description is very much dependent on the designer - some designers put scmr inside the ring, some designers colour code their schematics, some will write scmr near the ring; so it can vary. I hope that helps you

Hi, I have a question. I don't understand why use this type of ring instead of a normal ring?I suppose that way you're being able to work other things around the ring, but, can't you also do that with a normal ring(if you use two shuttles) ? It'd be so helpful if you or someone could share their knowledge on this. Thank you, byee :))

I guess you could work your ring with double shuttles, but personally I don't see the point when a scmr would be much easier.
