Dear sir, I love your youtube lessons so much, you’re the BEST in explaining and covering songs! And your music taste is fantastic too. I want to know what I’m doing when I copy your lessons, I have no knowledge of chord names, scales etc. Could you please recommend me the best guitar coarse for beginners you know or do you have a course like that? That would be the best. Thank you for all your guitar lessons, THE BEST!

I actually was the still photographer on this Music Video and he played this song right in front of me with only him, his GF now his wife and me. He was sitting on an apple box, barefoot. Just when you think Andy's covered all the acoustic greats, the man comes up with another one. This one falls into the not as difficult as I would have thought category. Best teacher on the net. Bar none.
@magg939 ай бұрын
Doesn't seem too difficult, but the hard part is making it actually sound good. It's all about the subtle parts, the rhythm, the timing.

I have been listening to this song for 20 years, and now to be able to learn it with an amazing lesson by Andy. If you like this song, then get the whole album called, The Living Sea. This song is from that album. It is a soundtrack to an IMAX movie and Sting did all the music. Amazing!

If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one Drying in the color of the evening sun Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away But something in our minds will always stay Perhaps this final act was meant To clinch a lifetime's argument That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could For all those born beneath an angry star Least we forget how fragile we are On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star Like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are How fragile we are On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star Like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are How fragile we are If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one Drying in the color of the evening sun Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away But something in our minds will always stay On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star Like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are How fragile we are On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star Like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are How fragile we are On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star Like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are

Fmaj7 instead of F7 at beginning of b sec? maybe irrelevant if not using that string lol
@ShutupAndPlayGuitarTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Since you're just playing the low E, the D and the B string. I think Sting frets the Fmaj7 in case he accidentally hits the G string it won't go off the rails. Cheers, Andy.

Thank God I found you. I found several versions of it. Nothing taken away from them, as their are doing their teachings, BUT the difference between you and them with all due respect is that you show clearly where to put fingers and you go smoothly slow enough. The other guy who plays it and teaches it starts the beginning with the pinky and index fingers which for me as a beginner was so difficult to make enough room to settle / put my fingers on them. Thank you sir Now I will start to practicing all over again. ps sorry for my english. is not the best

I am quite impressed with your caliber of playing, and you do these free tutorials. Your time is genuinely appreciated. This might be a bit out of character music wise, but would it be possible to show a tutorial on lead parts for Harper Valley PTA by Jeannie C. Riley? I"m not so worried about the sound, as I know its a dobro or something, as I may be able to get close with the katana amp and lead guitar. But I sincerely would appreciate it.

Hi Andy. Heard you're not doing too great at the moment. Hope to have you back in the saddle soon. You are a fine teacher and such pleasant company of an evening when the family are away to bed and I can get my guitar out. Wishing you good health sir. Oh and I made a donation too yesterday. Everyone should if they are getting something from these tutorials. C'mon loyal subscribers! If Andy can't work just now he can't earn so I'm sure even the smallest of donations would be welcome
