Thanks for all your hard work and fantastic lessons. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. PS. I'm sorry that I've not been able to contribute to your channel, it's one of my favorites, but sad to say I'm on disability and on very fixed income. I have to say, you keep my spirit alive with your detailed lessons, I'm a beginner so I pick apart pieces till I get a grasp of the whole lesson, which takes me quite a while to complete. Cheers Jim

I’ve played guitar for twenty years “for fun,” but this video really helped me break out of the basics and into really basic phrasing during quarantine. I can’t thank you enough for uploading it, I’m still trying to learn it well.

Another fantastic video from what has now become my favourite guitar-learning channel on KZbin. I first came across this channel while trying to find a tutorial on Peter Frampton's "Baby I Love Your Way" that had the proper chord voicings and was thoroughly impressed with your lesson for that song. After that I was again impressed with your lesson on America's "Horse With No Name" that revealed it wasn't actually just a two chord song but was something with interesting alternate guitar parts and a nice cascading multi-guitar solo. Subsequently I was thrilled by your note-for-note tutorial for Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven," which has now become a great addition to my repertoire. And then I was blown away by your lesson on "From the Beginning" on Emerson, Lake & Palmer, a song I wasn't familiar with but was asked to learn to accompany a singer at an open mic. That song featured some very interesting sounding chords with complex names; some of which - the chord names - I'm still not sure about. I left a comment (including chord charts) asking about the proper names for some of the chords on that video. Though the odds are very small that you'll see this and have the time, I'd love to get the names for those chords in a response to that comment on that video page. In any case thank you for your time and effort in putting these videos together. There are a lot of guitar teachers on KZbin, but whenever I have a new song I need to learn for a bar gig or an open mic, your channel is my first stop. And I'm stoked to discover that you've got some solid lead guitar chops, as demonstrated by the solo in this particular Metallica video. I loved the accuracy of your rhythm guitar lessons for the previous songs I mentioned, but now that I know you can play some serious leads I'm excited to check out even more of your videos, since I know they will feature the same attention to detail. Your tone is also exceptional and the way you slowly break down each part is fantastic. Thank you.

I been playing guitar for 25yrs now and man you just make shit look so gracfully easy. truth is. it's not. I still can't move my fingers like a regular guitar player. I guess god planned on me just being strictly a rhythm guitar player. I guess its part of being strictly self taught. I have a friend that plays like this. can play anything by listen to it just a couple times and has a gods gifted ear. thnx for the lesson though.

Absolutely love your lessons, I've learned so much. Can I make a request? I just heard Tracy Chapmans "Give me one Reason" and all those great guitar emotions came back, some really good understated stuff, and I was wondering if you could show us how to play both guitar pieces? Thanks.

This is the best lesson for this song available on KZbin. Better than justin guitar and Marty
@daniella_z33005 жыл бұрын
Tbh imo Marty explains better on the solo then shutup&play but this guy explains it better on the electric riffs I have been using on these guys and been going back to listen to the song and they are both pretty accurate so I’m using both videos
@vikrantsingh475 жыл бұрын
@@daniella_z3300 i agree, Marty explains in great detail, not too fast, great for beginners like me. but he should have covered the electric riffs. also in the solo part, he didn't explain the last part properly.
@daniella_z33005 жыл бұрын
Vikrant Singh I agree with what u said with the last part I think Marty just wanted to finish off the video and yea he should have explained the last part in more detail like the he did for the rest of the video but he also should have also talked about the riffs during the solo but other than that. That is why I use both vids because one explains better than the other

Man you got to slow down on your videos please.
@patrickhoy1347 Жыл бұрын
Nah, the pacing is fine. You just have to find a spot where he says something like "okay, now we'll play the verse and the bridge sections slowly" or "now we'll play the whole solo from the top, slowly," and then re-click on that spot when you need to run through that section again.
