This is such a great song! I play it all the time, especially on Fridays getting ready for Shabbat. My kids love it. But I have to say I'm pretty sure Shabbat - and the whole Torah - were also given to women at Har Sinai. It would have been nice to see some women also celebrating Shabbat.

Totally agree with you. And even if the corporate brand sponsor of the video requested gender segregation, then a women's version of the video should have been made. After all, when husbands are in the supermarket it is the wives they call to check the purchase list is complete. It only makes sense for the brand to create a women's video or a video including also women to raise awareness in that purchase decision sector. Or just to be decent people, as well.

​​@@32dave4u 1. I didn't say anything about an agenda. I'm just saying about half of the Jewish people are women. Yet women are being consistently hidden or left out altogether from everything. Who are our daughters supposed to look up to as good role models when good Jewish women are being erased and excluded? Britney Spears? Khloe Kardashian? There are plenty of pictures and videos of them floating around for our daughters to see. But they are not anyone I want my daughter to emulate. But there is nothing showing modest God-fearing Jewish women who can be role models. So who are we left with to serve as role models other than Brittany Spears and Khloe Kardashian? No one. That's terrible. Representation matters! 2. What about tznius? I didn't say to include women in bikinis in this video. I am simply saying women should have been included in a video about Shabbat, which women are also commanded to keep. They can be tznuot in the video as well.
