Parents are overrated. Out of me and my 5 other siblings, my parents let them go out and have fun, so now they are confident and independent, but as I grew up, my father emotionally and psychologically abused me as well as never let me leave the house, never let me round friends houses or anything. He wouldn’t let me wear certain clothes, and used to tell me that if I ever went outside or wore shorts in summer that I would be kidnapped/murdered/raped. Now I have crippling anxiety and can’t leave the house. I tried to find a job this year because I wasn’t ready to go to uni yet, but I can’t get a job because I can’t drive and there’s no buses, plus no family member would take me, and my dad still continues to emotionally abuse me. So I understand you, and if you need to talk, I don’t mind listening.
