I can't really say anything on the technical side of the performance, my ears aren't really that good, but I like the song a lot, and not because of who sang it. I don't really give preferencial treatment when it comes to my tastes.

Because our time on this earth is limited and so is our minds and attention. And time is money, so companies cut corners and hobbyists don't have infinite time, they need to work. Basically: programming is hard, the more features we add, the complexity goes up exponentially and thus the number of mistakes goes up and it's harder it is to test all possible possibilities. If you see smart TV: you need to think, ohh, lots of features, lots of things can go wrong and the computer chips inside need to do more work so it's slower.
