You can get a green ruppee much faster in TOTK. Just shoot a bluppee near any cave entrance. Will take around 1-3 hours if you’re fast.

You get several diamond drops from this and the other gems I tend to save for upgrading outfits. Assuming you ever want to farm rupees organically, but that's just how I play. 😅

I can confirm it takes a while to find a green gem in tears. I swear I was so poor in that game for a long time. Cough going underneath to get gems kind of proves his point and killing enemies doesn’t constitute stumbling across.

I have 500,000 rupees. Some quests give you 25k at a time, and farming gems with the Dino cow things is pretty fast.

You can get rupees on the sky islands, here is how. When killing a bubble frog it drops a Blupee (those rabbits you can shoot for rupees, and if you are quick enough you can actually shoot or attack it.

In totk, there is a bubbul frog in the starting area which when killed drops a bunny that when hit drops rupees, normally drops atleast 1 green one so you can probably narrow that 35 hours just a bit.
