The first Celtic manager since Jock Stein to win 3 in a row. A Celtic legend and we thank him sincerely!

What a player. What a career. If you love football you could listen to Strachan all day every day. A true great at every club he graced.

No doubt he's an awkward wee character, not a lot of us Celtic fans could take to him with his interviews or general mannerisms. But in my opinion, he is 1 of the best managers I've seen at Celtic. He brought in his own players with his own methods and gave us all some of the most memorable games. Done amazing in Europe, beating some outstanding teams, plus the season we pulled it back from rangers, beating them 2 times in our last 7 games. I'll never forget that last minute header from big JVoH to beat them. I'll always remember wee Strachan with fond memories

I lived over the road from gordon, we both played for craigroyston school, i then played for fettes and was offered a Y contract with hearts but wanted to travel, so i refused, and went to new zealand then to australia, as gordon says on here wages back then not so great, so i got a trade then emigrated as i planned to do.

Strachan doesn't get the respect and praise he deserves for the job he did at celtic, 3 league titles, 1 Scottish Cup, 2 league cups & 2 champions league last 16 appearances, never forget him crying when Tommy Burns died too 😢 he wasn't born a Celt but he's 1 of us now 🍀 YNWA 💚

Great person great player and just so you know this manager ended in my honest opinion a potentially great managers career in Glenn hoddle. Im a Spurs fan after the 4-0 defeat to Southampton Gordons club at the time it ended Hoddles management career. Im sure hes not proud of it (sure) but an underrated manager Gordon is. Watch some of his highlights as a player wee ginger b.sty he was electric. Don't understand why him kenny and graeme just sitting on the sidelines playing golf. Get back oot there yee wasted talent bampots!!!

I have always rated Strachan as a player, saw him at Dundee, Aberdeen and Man Untd and Leeds, I am a Killie supporter and been to many football grounds including Bristol City, Villa, Stoke and Leeds. I met Gordon in a hotel in Plymouth during his time at Leeds and I said something to him which would be no more than banter, no offensive language or insults of any sort, Gordon has no sense of humour whatsoever, he is a talented football manager and former player, sadly in my opinion he is not a very nice person. He might be a great pal to many, I would certainly not try to engage with him if I ever bumped into him again. By the way good interview!!!
