I really don't like how the cameras focused on Sia. that is literally what she asks everyone not to do. she wants the focus on the dancers (in this case dancer). the only people who saw the dancer's performance to the song was the live audience.

I often go take a food break during the musical guest performances on SNL, but I couldn't pass this up. Both of her performances on this episode were mesmerizing. I enjoy hardly any current music (I'm mostly into indie, screamo, heavy metal, classic rock) but Sia is a great artist. My father and brother ridiculed her performance, but I thought it was emotional and energetic, I really enjoyed it.

The backing chorus adds depth, harmony, and dimension... Sure, Sia's voice alone would kill of course, but much like the support a 100 piece orchestra gives a concert violinist, this chorus doesn't overwhelm either, allowing Sia to dominate absolutely. All ears are trained on her magic....

The album This is Acting is composed exclusively of rejected songs Sia wrote for other artists that got turned down. Hence the name "This is Acting". I'm not sure why they turned down these wonderful songs, probably because the lyrics were too advanced for them. I swear to god Sia never ceases to disappoint me. Her live vocals are so incredible. She deserves so much more credit than what she gets. She is a rare jewel we need to protect. One of the very few modern music artist who blows everyone else out of the water. She is one hell of a singer and songwriter.
