Yes the SIA licence is just a requirement for the UK. In the US, Unarmed security guards may work under the licence of their employer, which means they themselves do not need to hold a licence.

You don't need it, however we would recommend it. These kind of jobs will fall under surveillance so having the CCTV licence shows you understand it and opens up more job opportunities.

Depending on when you took your course, you may only have to do unit 2.
