so far I've been able to make this sort of timeline of the different songs in the album. 1. no lullaby - a broken home and family causing pain 2. Easier - trying to avoid the pain by pretending it doesn't exist 3. summer nights - recovering from the pain with friends ?. I can't wait - the excitement of being able to do something with someone else in the near future. I'm not sure where this should go in the timeline but probably before summer nights.

Denial. Running away. The message is simple: it always seems that pride is better than admitting your fault, but it is a lie. "How can you look into my eyes and say nothing else than lies"

I think it's slightly more complex than that but you did grasp the core ideal of the song. I think what's going on here is the prideful one (we'll call him guy) is being unfaithful because their relationship is falling apart, but, Guy can't (or won't) talk about it with our singer ("Who want's to say goodbye), so he escapes to other women (run away and hide). Again, he's too prideful to talk about any of this and the more he does it the "Easier" it get's. All the while the singer, i believe, knows about Guy's actions (from the mentions of warnings and doubts) and is suffering actively from his actions (lonliness and what seems like depression) but is waiting for him to swallow his pride and admit what is going on so that the both of them can move on. This is my take on the song obviously, it just feels right to me.
