Would like to know more about Siamese Lynx Point. My almost 1 year old Lynx is a wild one. She can jump higher than I've ever seen in cat behavior. I've never know a cat that is so independent and does NOT prefer to be held and cuddled. Is this normal for the Siamese/Tabby mix? She's very independent. She likes my attention and petting but not being picked up and hugged.

Growing up back in the 70's, a neighbor of ours had a huge Siamese named Pyewacket. When they would go on vacation, our other neighbor would take care of him, but he would walk through the lot of woods behind our house and cry and cry. Loud! And sometimes he'd cry loud right under my parent's bedroom window early in the morning. My dad loved that! lol. Felt sorry for him cause he missed his family so much.

Sounds like my part-siamese cat, Koi Chitto, who died only recently at age 21. He was descended from both alley cats & siamese who were fed daily by an elderly Choctaw man who owned several houses in Rosalie Alley, an alley named for a famous voodoo queen in 19th c N.O. where a current voodoo queen lives & holds ceremonies now. Heavily wooded, the alley is a dirt path through the middle of a block in inner-city N.O. (A long history of my cat's origins!) Koi Chitto looked very much like a siamese, in every way except colors. He acted more like a siamese than any siamese cat I've known. By far the most vocal cat I've ever heard of, he was an incessant talker & an expert mimic of both human & canine speech. He taught himself to say 'hello' in order to communicate better with a friend & me--he suddenly started using 'hello' with various inflections in order to call our neighbor to come play with him & to call me to come inside if I'd stayed too long in the courtyard. The neighbor & I tried to film him saying hello but were unable to, as he would say it only if he was alone in the apt. He'd stand at our apt door, which opened into the small courtyard, to call out hello whenever he heard our upstairs neighbor coming through the courtyard. When i was out, he often played with our neighbor through the 1" gap under our door, where the neighbor would pull pieces of straw back & forth for the cat to chase & grab. When we had to move, he stopped saying hello, could not be enticed to say it again. He had said hello only under very specific circumstances, & after we moved there was no reason to keep saying it. He could also imitate the warning bark of a big dog, which he began doing daily at our new apt. Each day he would go on a major tear, dashing around the apt, leaping off the 6' bookcase onto the bed, bouncing off the bed to race down the hall leading to our apt door that opened into the main hall of our floor. As he skidded to a halt at the door, he'd bark like a big dog warning strangers to stay out. A deep loud 'ruuf-ruuf-ruuf' that sounded just like a very big dog. Our neighbors could hear him if they were passing down the hall in front of our door or if they were waiting for the elevator, which was directly across the hall from our door. Neighbors kept asking what kind of dog i had, at first refusing to believe a cat had barked like that. It was hard to believe a regular size housecat could make such deep loud sounds. He was like a siamese in most ways, to an exaggerated degree. He was very smart, very social (with humans, with cats & dogs), hated being alone. I adopted him along with his twin sister when they were 7 weeks old & they lived together with me till her death at age 17. Inseparable since birth. He almost died within two months of her death, suddenly aged overnight. With a lot of work & support he pulled through, though the vet had thought he had 6 mo to a year left at most, but he was very depressed for almost a year. He got through the deep period of mourning & gradually enjoyed life again, but he had aged quickly due to the grief & was never the same again. He was the most emotionally dependent cat I've ever known, was more dependent than most dogs I've known. He hated being alone for even an hour or two. He & his sister were separated only once, when i had to find a new apt & meanwhile had to board my cats with a volunteer at a local rescue group. The volunteer called me after a few days to say she couldn't keep Koi Chitto any longer because he had been causing so much trouble with her dogs, two big Rottweilers, taking their place on her bed & generally demanding to be the center of attention. It turned out she had separated him from his sister. And he went bananas. She brought him back to me, even though i was renting a temporary room where cats weren't allowed, but kept his sister another week until i found an apt for us. He'd had a breakdown after he was seperated from his sister, just went berserk & started trying to dominate the two Rottweilers & be the center of attention. That was the only time he & his sister were ever apart. She was nothing like him in appearance or personality. She was very quiet, didn't even meow, made little chirping sounds instead. The only thing they had in common was the need to be together & with me-- she wasn't as dependent as he was but she also hated being alone for long. Ten days ago i adopted a snowshoe cat, who is 14 & unable to live with other cats. She was brought to our rescue shelter by her owner, who had kept her in the bathroom alone because she kept beating up the other cats in the house. A volunteer took her home, thinking she could be a companion to her 7 yr old cat. But she kept beating him up. We couldn't understand why or how she does this because she's rather small & is declawed. (We don't know when she was declawed or why--was she already very aggressive with other cats or did the declawing make her more aggressive?) But she's fine now, has adjusted very quickly. There's a strict one-cat only policy in our bldg so she'll be.okay.

I've got two Siamese kittens I adopted off the street (they're 18 weeks now!) and they're brothers, Thor and Loki. Thor is a chocolate point and is exactly what's described in the video. He is in my lap all day if he's not playing with his brother (sometime they wrestle while in my lap, lol) and he's very vocal. Loki is a lilac point and is the opposite. He's quiet, and doesn't ask for much attention. He loves me still and will rub up against my legs or follow me around, but he doesn't jump into my lap as often or cuddle. However, Loki is the troublemaker. Loki has tried to climb in my empty box of cheez its, and tore down a curtain while playing. Loki is also the one who scratches me the most, though I know it's mostly on accident.

I had a snowshoe and two bluepoints. My last one passed 6 months before his 20th birthday. I couldn’t find any seal points. Funny thing about Siamese. I used to be terrified of cats. When I visited one of my grandfathers a Siamese kept wanting to be friends but I was terrified. So when I was 20 I volunteered at a couple kennels as a cage cleaner and feeder. I not only fell in love with cats but one of my charges was a Sealpoint named Frank whose fangs showed when he closed his mouth. He showed me how sweet he was despite his looks. A black cat and a kennel cat Persian with one eye sealed the deal. And who got me my first cat? My cat hating mom! But she loved my first cat. So did dad. Moon was a Snowshoe Siamese. But I had to give her up after five years. I had little money and she kept getting sores between her toes I couldn’t cure. I was devastated. Got cat number two a bluepoint named Taco Bell. A TV guide was bigger than him. I had him for 13 years and helped me through the passing of my fiancé. I have Taco’s ashes on my dresser. In 2000 I got my third cat, a bluepoint Siamese named Mandan-Tarzan. But he preferred to be called Manny. I had him for 19 years who passed on my lap. I have two cats now brother and sister non Siamese who are two years old. My boy is Manny2 and he’s so much like my Manny. My girl Money is a lot like my first cat, Moon. It took me a long time to get used to not being looked at with Siamese eyes. But they’re as loving as Siamese, follow me around like Siamese.

I was gifted with a 9 yr. old Siamese who weighed about 25-30 lbs. It took 3 weeks to trim her down to 10 lbs. with controlled food and lazer chases. The previous owner just filled her food bowl to overflowing and let her eat without much inter action. I was leery about changing her name, but the one she had just did not fit her at all, so Hannibal became "Lovey". Now that name fits her. She waits for me to come home anytime I leave, by the front door. She sleeps beside me at night on her own blankey on the bed and she's always making sure I get up in time for work. And when she catches the ribbon on the end of a stick, she proudly walks away dragging it for about 5 feet, before turning around and dragging it back to me for more play..lol She is a real Love, hence the name Lovey. My heart has been void of joyful days much of the time until she was (dumped on) gifted to me. How blessed is my life with her around keeping me company and active. This gal is the apple of my eye, now. How could I get any more blessed...Thank you God.

I had 3 as siblings (their mom had more than 1 mate lol) 1st born (i mean, he came out a little earlier) was a classic Siamese. came out almost purebred and he developed health issues later. 2nd born was a Seal Siamese - He was the most muscular of the bunch and was very active. the last one was a mix, I wouldn't really call her a Siamese - her front socks were white, while the back were still brown. All very intelligent, lovely and loyal. (the little sis wasn't very cuddly tho, she got very little of Siamese genes) Siamese got the best of both worlds. they're even more affectionate than most dogs. never leave them alone Also, if you don't live alone, don't be jealous because they tend to bound deeply with 1 person. someone in the house is likely to be ignored sometimes, as they just cuddle with their "chosen one" every one of my cats chose different person of the house so we didn't really have that issue tho lol

It's absolutely ridiculous that KZbin allows uneducated people to make content and also allow them to be monitized while punishing creators who actually have an ounce of education who try to display a controversial opinion

I will never like/subscribe/notify any video/channel that asks for it before I've even seen it. This means you care more about ad revenue and click counts than your content. Especially one as inaccurate is this one is. Automatic thumbs down
