Irene Adler these days if you make a joke simply about someone homosexual it's considered offensive, much more so when it's apart of the punchline. See: what happened to Ricky Gervais when he made a joke at the Golden Globes that simply mentioned Caitlyn Jenner. Spoiler: he was called "transphobic" because he said something was wasn't absolutely glowing or positive. Same for Dave Chappelle.

eh, it's discussed in public which is good. I still think Conan and his writers are capable of edgy comedy. They do insane stuff every once in a while.
