Don’t forget to visit Canijugan Peak. New attraction! It is just a 5 minute hike then you reach a resto with a cliff, massage, kawa bath. It’s overlooking coconut trees and the sea. It has Bali vibes!

Even before you mentioned it, we thought the same: that shore is _amazing_ even on an overcast afternoon. Well done, Ken! The fellow by the _banca_ told you to inquire about the island hopping tours with the local Tourism Office (not all islands are open or public and are out in the open seas of the Pacific unlike Cebu, for example, so it would be prudent to make plans for it). We believe that with all the solo travels and discoveries you've done thus far, it wouldn't be a bad idea reaching out to the foreigners who've established themselves in Siargao (you may already be familiar with them as they have their own YT channels): The British family Eight Miles from Home, the Swedish couple Emy and Johan, among others :) Keep it fun and safe!

Welcome to Siargao which is my favorite island in the Philippines. It has Island vibes but the food is international especially in the General Luna area. There are no hotel chains but there are luxury resorts in the island. I suggest you go there for lunch or dinner. Wi-Fi is ok at those places.

I suggest you stay here in the Philippines during Christmas period and New Year. Then celebrate Sinulog Festival with Cebuanos on the 2nd Week of January. Its better to book in advance ( a month before January) because usually hotels are fully book during Sinulog Festival because there will be many tourist coming...

As an experienced traveller, you definitely know how to find your own transport, not the one arranged as fare would definitely be higher. So indirectly, l'm "learning" from you, Ken. Thanks. Oh wow, that tricycle looks very modern, clean, spacious and nice. Rate of that simple hotel room is quite high. Yeah, you as a digital traveller, WIFI is very important. Wow, wow, wow and more wow, that view of the beach is absolutely incredible. Love that spot with those slanting coconout trees... indeed a very beautiful spot for selfies/photography. Actually it’s only 300 if you ride with an aircon van but you share with others. You will also be drop off at your hotel.

I also stayed at Vivo Inn when I was there last September. I stayed at room 4 which is the one next to yours. Nice basic place with nice people. Say hi to Sol and Michelle (receptionists). I unfortunately left my phone in my room and the next occupant found it. Sol gladly arranged for it to be sent to me in Manila. Check out Bravo and Siago which is just across Vivo. You failed to ask how much the van transfer is. It actually costs only P300 per way. Consider this when you leave. Ask Sol or Michelle for recommendations i.e. attractions, things to do, tours, bike rentals, etc. They’d be happy to help:)

Most beautiful island is balabac! fight meeee. Edited: Wow. The first beach view is amazing and its not the main tourist spot there. Also, that's taken after the typhoon, it is surely much cleaner during regular sunny days. You should avail tours there. Go to guyam island too. We will be there next week. Hope to bump to you soon.

Hi Kent, Dont forget to travel to Cagayan de Oro City, Surely you will explore and enjoy the Highest Amaya peak, White River Rafting, Dahilayan Adventure Park and Seven Seas WaterPark & Resort. If you take Bus, it will be around 9 hour. But if you take plane, it will be around 3.4 hours.

Hi Ken, you could consider to transfer money through Western Union/Moneygram...since the maximum amount at the ATM is only 10.000PHP per day+ transaction fee + fee foreign transaction required by your bank. For me it would cost around 6 to 10€ each withdrawal...
