SIB Fishing UK, Seaham to Sunderland, Mackerel, Wrasse and Ling on lures and bait.

SIB Fishing UK, Seaham to Sunderland and back, it was the first chance to get out in weeks, I launched at Seaham and fished various rough ground marks between there and Sunderland. The fishing wasn't easy today but I managed some Codling, Mackerel, Wrasse and a Ling on lures and bait.

Nice days fishing m8, just wondered what rods and reels you recommend for use on the sib?

Thanks, it will depend upon what kind of ground and species you’re fishing over/for. I was just using my Rovex integra gold kayak rod which was 8-14lb and found that great until the tip snapped (it was old). I replaced that with a Shakespeare Ugly stick 12-20 lb I use penn 525’s on that and a fixed spool on a Shimano 1/4-1oz lure rod 👍🏻.

Do you think this warm weather is putting the fish off...? Without the mackerel, the usual numbers are fairly poor I think.....

Not sure mate, it’s certainly been a bit hit and miss though!

Great video and gutted we didn't get to see that fish at the beginning.. wouldn't mind trying around Seaham soon especially in the colder weather, hopefully get out over the next 6 days 🙏
