This is actually a rap line (RM, Suga, J Hope) song but at the concert, for fun, the vocal line joined in. They do not typically rap except Jungkook, main vocalist of BTS, used to rap more in the early days. The meaning and word play in this song is incredible but you need the explanation if you are unaware if the Korean culture and language. For instance, the word Ddaeng has at least 7 uses in this song. I recommend watching DKDKTV explanation video. In Korea, KPop us an entertainment industry, not a genre. Entertainment industries hold auditions and take on 25-30 people to train for a specific group idea. The training period varies but is typically 2-5 years. They train in all aspects of rap, vocals, dance etc, the emphasis dependent a bit on their role in the group. They get eliminated through the training until the final group is decided. The 7 members of BTS were like that. The CEO of Bighit Entertainment (now Hybe Labels), Bang Si Hyuk, wanted a hip hop group and the 7 were chosen eventually over 2010 - 2013. All from different areas of Korea. They lived together in a small dorm for years so they are more like family now.

Bro, this was just the vocal lines!🤣🤣 The rappers let the vocalists do the rap in this song in this live performance just to entertain the fans. That's why it was kinda funny yet amazing! It's originally the rapper's diss track only. If you want to dive into the BTS' rabbit hole, you better check first their documentary guides. Hi guys, thanks for the nice reaction. Maybe you didn't notice in the title that the vocal line is featuring. This time the singers rapped this famous diss song just to entertain us, the Army. Their fandom. There are 3 out of this world rappers in BTS and 4 vocalists. They all bring something very special to the table. They sing, rap, dance, produce and write a lot of their songs. They have more than 400 of them 🎉. Because you seem interested, I'd recommend watching the introduction to the 7 members of BTS by Taylor Mari. It's all explained how they came to be via the 'Guide to BTS the Bantang 7 by Taylor Mari it's up to date as of May 2022. Bascially they are 3 Rappers and 4 vocalist who do it all including being Song Writer, Composers, Producers, Dancers and Musicians each to a greater or lesser extend. They biggest group in the world who sell out the biggest stadiums in the world in under an hour of tickets going on sale. They debuted in June 2013.

To be honest.. as I was checking out BTS IN 2020 BECAUSE OF DYNAMITE….. I realized getting into BTS is a journey… some call it the rabbit hole😂 but I did try to go chronologically since I was 7 yrs late to the party!! But I really was appreciating their journey because it is 10 yrs.

On how BTS was formed. In K-pop in general, music labels would scout and sign talented young people to become trainees, where they're trained in singing, rapping, dancing, etc., and then choose the best ones to form idol groups. BTS was formed in a similar way. There were around thirty trainees in total, and seven were eventually chosen as the official members, with three rappers and four singers. That's the short story. A slightly longer story is that, when *RM* (7:15) auditioned for the label Big Hit, the CEO was so impressed by his rapping skills and lyrics that he signed RM on the spot and decided to form a group around him. The second member, *Suga,* was already a professional musician, working at a studio, writing songs and making beats, before he then auditioned for Big Hit and was signed as a producer and eventually became a trainee. Both RM and Suga were underground rappers before signing with Big Hit. The third member, *J-hope,* was an accomplished street dancer, winning awards, who then became the third BTS member, learning to rap from RM and Suga. *Jin* was studying to become an actor when he was scouted on the street, getting off a bus, because he's THAT good-looking. He signed as an actor, but then became the fourth member of BTS. *Jungkook* auditioned for a talent show and showed so much promise that he received offers from seven different labels, but he chose Big Hit because he saw videos of RM rapping and thought he was cool. *V* dreamed of having a career in music, learning how to play the saxophone and to dance, but he was simply accompanying a friend to an audition when he was asked to try out too. He passed and became the sixth member of BTS. *Jimin* was a top dancing student in his art school, so his teacher encouraged him to audition and he became the seventh member of BTS. If you like rap, each of the rappers has an impressive body of solo work. They're all amazing rappers with distinctly different styles. The singers' solo work are incredible as well. The latest to release solo work is Jungkook, who's currently taking the world by storm. My favorite video of the rappers performing "Ddaeng" is from Hoseok Aesthetic because it has good quality sound and clear subtitles.

I didn't catch if you said you'd seen the original or not before this, but if not, you absolutely should. This version is "rapped" by the vocal line, who aren't rappers (except the one you said was best at the 7:42 mark has done some rapping in their songs. His name is Jungkook. He's the youngest member. Just dropped a remix of his song Standing Next to You with Usher. It's hot). Hearing this song done by the actual rap line of BTS (RM, Suga, Jhope) is unreal. There's only one live rap line performance of this song from their 2018 Festa Prom Party, but the audio kind of sucks (I think its a fancam). Still should 100% watch it. The set, the delivery, the absolute swag of this performance shouldn't be missed. There are also explanation videos about the song because their use of the word Ddaeng is so complex. I can't even begin to get into it here, but trust me, the entire song is the biggest damn flex on everyone and their mamas. You also asked about when/how they started, and well... that's a really long story. One I love to tell, however, don't worry, I won't bore you with too long winded of a reply. There are actually several really great introduction videos made by ARMY (that's the fandom name). I believe the one most people watch is called A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 (aka the Taylor guide). Its over a year old now, but I think its the most up to date. Hopefully someone makes a new one soon since so much has happened in the past year (military service for all members. 3 are currently in {Jin, Jhope, Suga} and the other 4 youngest members {RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook} all just announced they are leaving soon for boot camp 😢). Also, I personally don't feel that intro video showcases enough of their music, but it does a great job of introducing the members and telling their story. Anyway, you've probably realized by now that there are 7 members of Bangtan Sonyeondon (translated as Bulletproof Boy Scouts in Korean) aka BTS. They are, from oldest to youngest: Kim Seokjin (stage name Jin) Vocal line - DOB 12/92 - Today is his birthday! Happy birthday Jin!!! He wanted to be an actor, but ended up learning to sing with BTS. And thank the Lord he did, because this man has a voice like honey and can hit high notes like Mariah swimming with dolphins. Saw him sing Epiphany live twice in 2019. Still not over it. 🎶I'm the one I should looooooovveeee, in thiiiisss world🎶 Oh Jin🥰 My favorite solo song of his is Epiphany, or Yours (which is an OST for a movie). Check out Come Back Home (its a cover done by BTS), the super high notes are Jin! He's incredible. Min Yoongi - (Stage name Suga - aka Agust D - solo rap name) Rap line - DOB 3/93 - Fiercest rapper on the planet. No, I don't need any other opinions on this. Its set in stone. tyvm Seriously though, check out his work! His productions are fire too. Oh, did I mention he's a world renown music producer as well? Yeah, he's perfect. Check out his solo trilogy Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala. Its deep. Too deep to get into here. This man is literally the love of my life (yes, I have informed my husband). He's the coolest human being on the planet. The MV for the song Agust D (by Agust D) he talks so much smack! Did I mention I love him? Jung Hoseok (Stage name Jhope) Rap line - DOB 2/94 - Saw him headline Lollapalooza 2022 and my soul is still ascending from the experience. Has a song with J Cole which I honestly think has some of Coles best bars. "you see a top 10 list I see a golden corral" What?!! LMAO that shits hilarious. I love J Cole. The song is called On The Street and it has an official MV. He's also an extremely talented dancer and I highly recommend watching his live Lolla performance to get the full effect of rapper, dancer, and all round born entertainer Jung Hoseok. Hansang at Lolla live!!! You just have to see it. Trust me. Kim Namjoon (Stage name RM) Rap line - group leader - DOB 9/94 - His stutter rap in Ddaeng gives me life (seriously watch the rap line version of this song!!!). Group leader, but not oldest member. I still listen to his 2018 album Mono every single day from beginning to end. Released as a playlist, its made to played in order. It's basically become my security blanket at this point. His newest album, Indigo is just as good but very different. The first song on the album, Yun, is a collab with Erikah Badu and when the opening line hit me, I was not expecting it. His BTS song Trivia: Love is my favorite though. Highly recommend Park Jimin (Stage name Jimin) Vocal line - DOB 10/95 - first of all, google Frook Shooken and prepare yourselves before you dive into anything Jimin related. This was your warning. This fine ass human being has been snatching souls left and right. Everyone is fair game. My husband (who listens to crap like slipknot... {no offense slipknot fans, just not my thing}) fight over Jimin with my sister whenever he gets drunk. He's frook shooken 🤣. Kim Taehyung (stage name V) Vocal line - DOB 12/95 - Do you like Jazz? So does V. He just dropped a solo album called Layover. Its a vibe. This mans voice was created to swoon over. Even the nun that the movie Sister Act was based on fell in love with him and told him to never stop singing. And that was in 2014, imagine how damn good he sounds now?! For a nice intro peak into the vocal chops of V, I suggest the live performance of Stigma, followed by the MV and live performance of Singularity, then wrapped up in a bow with the fan made visual feast of a mv for the song Winter Bear. This man has my heart so bad. Jeon Jungkook (Stage name Jungkook) Vocal line - DOB 9/97 - This kid is so hot right now there is no way you haven't seen or heard him somewhere. Seven with Lotto? 3D with Jack Harlow (remix with Justin Timberlake)?? Standing Next To You (Remix with USHER!!)?!? He's everywhere right now. He flew over me while he was singing at a concert in 2019 (no, literally flew right above my head while singing, "You're the cause of my euphoriaaaaaaaaaa" I cried. I also managed to record the moment. Unfortunately that's when I found out how horrible my midwest accent is, so there's that... Okay, that's it. I hope I did them some justice. I admit, I'm not a fan of some of the styling in this one, just my personal taste, but the song choices are perfection. It really shows their range and their personalities. Its like 45 minutes long. Its an award show performance. no joke. a 45 minute award show performance. Basically it's a mini BTS concert. First of all thanks for the reaction. Second, If you didnt know this song is originally just the rap lines song (RM, Suga and J-Hope) but they brought the vocal line (Jimin, Jin, Taehyung and Jungkook) on there for this stage as a fun gift for ARMYS (BTS fanbase) since they haven't rapped since like 2013 (year they debuted)😅 Jungkook 7:45 the one who rapped last. Jungkook is sub-rapper in the group meaning he subs in if the rapline is sick and does their part, he's that multi talented, he's also the main vocalist, lead-dancer, centre and the youngest in BTS. ​@bee12117 first off chill, I don't know if you maybe just got confused on my wording or what but theres nicer ways to say things. I said it that way cuz his ability to rap even as a sub rapper is that good. He also mainly rapped back in debut (no more dream, NO, We are bulletproof pt2 ect). But later he rapped less and focused on his vocals as the main vocalist. (Hence the rapper turned vocalist)I know every members positions in the group plus I'm Jungkook biased so I'm more than well aware. I was contemplating editing it but thought everyone would understand me but clearly not. Also I'm not changing it cuz I like the way I said it. And many other people have already mentioned him being a sub rapper. I'll add it though. Extra info (if you watch jungkooks lives and especially the noraebang clip in suchwita he sings 'one nation sniper' he clearly is very much still considered a rapper even as a sub.)

Thanks for the reaction. Y’all seem really nice. BTS has fans all over the world. We come from all backgrounds, ethnicities, sexes, etc. I’m a 68 year old Army from Texas. I hope you go down this rabbit hole. I agree with the others who say to watch Taylor Mari’s Guide to the Bangtan 7. It may look long, but I promise the time will fly. I’ve seen so many reactors say, “it’s already over”? I’ve never seen a reactor who wasn’t happy they took the time to watch it. At some point after that you might want to watch the BTS Hardships video. Those two videos together will give you a decent understanding as to why Army loves them so much (and why they love us) and why we are so protective of them. (Sometimes overly so. We are only human after all. 😂) Everyone has suggested great songs for all the members. I will say, Jung Kook is one fire right now. His first single, “Seven” ft Latto recently went platinum and became the fastest song in history to be streamed 1 BILLION times on Spotify. His 2nd song, “3D” ft Jack Harlow was just remixed and dropped last week with JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE? And the title track if his debut album, “Standing Next to You” was just remixed with USHER. REALLY have no idea why people are recommending RANDOM BTS songs. You guys have no idea who they are, so I'd suggest you to start with an introduction video like the Bangtan 7 by Taylor (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqa5kKx_md2Nhrs - a bit outdated as it's from last year but one of the best guides out there) and then slowly get into their music genres. You can start the fan made documentary series "The Rise of Bangtan" afterwards which goes through their story until 2018 (the person who did the series stopped making it) - which is good enough and you can get a better idea how they came to be. ALSO THIS particular song is NOT a vocal line song it's a RAP song. There are explanation videos for BTS songs cuz of their crazy wordplay and lyrics/symbolism. You have no idea!

Doesn’t that defeat the point of a blind reaction?? I think the appeal of watching reaction videos is seeing new people who don’t know about the artists experiencing their music for the first time, there are plenty of KZbin vids of already established BTS fans reacting to BTS, so if you wanna see people who already know the group you should look for them reactions, rather than expecting new people to automatically know as much as yourself
