Jimin-ssi basically translates to Mr. Jimin. A formal greeting for someone you’re not very familiar with.

just to explain the context behind some of the clips:- 1:41 they were asked, "how do you deal with the girls?" and jin said "i don't have think" which i assume means "i don't gotta think too much about it" 1:47 this clip is from a video of them trying to change the genre of their title track at the time, "N.O." this particular clip is of a trot version by jungkook where the genre is known to have lots of vocal inflections like he showed here 2:35 the question was, "who's your hollywood crush? actresses". jin my iconic man decided he was gonna name brad pitt (unapologetically too) although they specifically asked for them to name an actress 2:58 taehyung just pretty much added an american accent to the korean term for "roasted asparagus", which is "asparagus-gooey". that's why they all laughed, cause he said it with a straight face too😭 4:42 the question was, "what's one english word you find difficult to pronounce?" and jungkook's answer to that was "trusfrated" and you seemed to understand the rest of it so- 6:07 this was a shocking moment that showcased their telepathic skills cause both namjoon and jungkook sang the phrase "marry me" in the melody of one of their songs, "jamais vu". the phrase isn't part of the lyrics and for them to coincidentally sing it in that particular melody was shocking enough that they froze for a while in awe😭 10:07 "jimin-ssi" is the korean equivalent to "mr. jimin". it's used to address someone with respect and is often used between people that are in a professional relationship or strangers so it's a little odd to be used between jungkook and jimin when they're close like brothers, so that's an inside joke between them and jungkook sort of uses it like a comedic nickname for jimin at times and jimin always laughs without fail 10:44 jimin said "this is my seat" and the heavy korean accent made "seat" sound like "shitu" 10:56 this is an iconic clip😭 hobi's basically telling jimin to stop spitting in his face while speaking and namjoon chimes in with the iconic, "jimin, you got no jams" which is basically a mixture of english and korean where the term "jaem" is the korean term for "fun" and he applied a heavy american accent to that, just like taehyung with his "asparagus-gooey" 11:21 they were asked for their favourite animal and jimin playfully said, "v" implying taehyung to be an animal 12:24 this was a game they played where all of them, except for one were given different volumes of a particular comic book series and the staff members has to guess the one without a book. so they had their books covered and the staff members will ask a few questions pertaining to the comic book that they're looking at currently to figure out who's acting like they have a book when they don't in reality. the comic book they had in that particular clip is of a series called "bonobono", named after the main character of the book, a sea otter. when they asked him to read out a line from the book, he cleverly settled for a safe option of calling out bonobono's name

When you put -ssi at the end of someone's name in Korea, it's normally an older person doing it to a younger person. Jimin calls Jungkook, Jungkook-ssi because Jimin is older but Jungkook likes to be a brat and says Jimin-ssi even though he shouldn't. He should say hyung to Jimin but all the members let Jungkook get away with formalities. LOVE watching all your reactions!

-ssi is more of a formal term though. they use it in place of mister and if often used in between strangers or people bound by a professional relationship. so "jimin-ssi" would imply "mr. jimin" in english which sounds quite distant and not commonly used among people as close as jikook, that's why jimin laughs everytime jungkook calls him that and it became an inside joke between them.

i think -ssi is a kind of honorific that you add at the end of someone's name to be polite, so when jungkook calls jimin jiminssi it translates to something like "mister jimin"

omg please, I have a very important request. Korea´s most famous band is having a comback after 2.5 years, CN BLUE! The members are all done serving in the military and they´re preparing for a comeback right now. It would be amazing if you started to react to them and then react to their comeback.
