@@Nyarlathotep_Flagg Not quite. Tobias said that he isn't trying to make Christians angry, but rather let people think for themselves and have fun. Satan is more of a symbol to him for rebellion against traditional religion because he believes organized religion to be dangerous and toxic.

Listen to the lyrics, and listen to any of the statements made. The controversy breeds publicity, and their image as a "chill" band to people with any level of understanding.

Yea Tobias (the lead singer) does not believe in Satan. He's an atheist who believes that organized religion is toxic and dangerous, and has caused a lot of pain and trouble throughout history. So he uses Satan as a symbol of rebellion against it and doing what he wants to do instead of following religious rules. But he does not worship Satan or believe he exists. It's just a symbolic thing. Tobias also likes horror so the music has a lot of horror movie vibes.

Well, Ghost play a lot on the retro of sound and image, of the late 70's and early 80's rock/"classic" metal (Like the very first bands), along with progressive elements (Instruments like saxophone for example), keyboard melodies, some pop essence in their songs being catchy. The satanic themes are another play on this era, as to parodies the fear of metal, when it was in it's diapers. "Metal", as a whole, is an umbrella of countless different genres and sub genres, all sounds 180 degrees opposite from each other. It's a constant evolving things, you can always hear something new, that wasn't done before. When one say regarding a band, "I'ts metal", it's like saying "It's music" :) Because there is a huge difference between "heavy metal", to "melodic death metal", "technical death metal", "black metal", "symphonic black metal", symphonic metal", "progressive/ melodic death metal" and so on... Too many of them and too many differences ;)

I think Ghost music is more like Theater Rock or Metal like the pioneers as Alice Cooper or early Ozzy. Ghost's songs are satirical to Religion such as Catholics as you see singer dressed like the Pope or is called Papa or another name, Anti-Pope. You probably realized that members (Ghouls) were fired by Papa (Tobias Forge) before you posted this video on KZbin. Tobias had to reveal himself as those members filed lawsuit against him for being paid a fair share of profits. I read in next month that Ghost will released new album with new Ghouls in different look and Papa as darker and creepy than current persona seeing in that video.

Well it ain't korpiklaani, but atleast i found new band to listen thanks to the video. Now I wonder, how come I never heard of Ghost before. Oh, and for example I like your videos because, like i mention before that you don't show the whole video, which makes me wanna check out original video, and there's reasonable reaction. Unlike other reaction channels who show the whole thing, and like you said overreact to everything.

2D- Punk I know all of that actually, and just because those bands helped develop the genre doesnt mean they are that genre. Ive always said that Ghost was a lot like Blue Oyster Cult, but Blue Oyster Cult isn't a metal band. BOC and Led Zeppelin had their moments of heaviness, but it was the exception not the rule.
