51:22 the reason why Batman is talking with his deep voice infront of those who know who he is that for him deep down he is the Batman and Bruce Wayne is his alter ego . Just what Rachel accuses of him in the Batman begins ending

My favourite scene in this movie is when the old cop tells the young cop "You are in for a show tonight". It's a direct reference to the graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns" in which Batman hasn't been active for over 10 years because the U.S. government made vigilante superheroes illegal except for Superman who acts directly under the orders of the U.S. President.

She didn't hate her father. She couldn't forgive him for casting out Bane. Those aren't synonymous. You can be angry with someone and love them. Bruce "killing him" eliminated any chance of eventually reconciling. People have that regret all the time. They think they had more time to fix things. Her emotions are entirely understandable and not that unusual. That sort of regret can be all consuming. The idea of being angry with someone is the same as hating them is a massive oversimplification. Emotions are way more complicated than that, especially when it comes to family.

The main Batman theme in this trilogy is one of the all-time movie greats. It's up there with Star Wars and The Avengers as well. Now that y'all finished the trilogy, y'all gotta do The Batman (2022) with Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman!!!!!!

A lot of people don't realize this, but that mercenary that held Blake at gunpoint, after dropping the grenade down into the sewer - is Christopher Judge, the voice and motion capture actor for Kratos in the new God of War iteration.

I get what your saying. I'd say she didn't hate her father. She was just very angry at him. His death eliminated any chance to reconcile with someone she loved. People have that regret all the time. They think they had more time to fix things. Her emotions are entirely understandable and not that unusual to people with life experience. They're just very young.

What you haven't picked up on is the deliberate parallels between this film and Dickens A tale of two cities, the last lines of which is what is read at Bruce's funeral. It's a story about the French revolution where tyranny takes over "in the name of the people" like Bane's Gotham, and where a man sacrifices himself at the end.

I think I kinda get Talia's tur around after her father's death. When you have a falling out with someone and they die it might cause you to rethink things a bit. Might cause you to view that person with more nuance and grace than you might have done when they were alive even if it is too late to do anything about it. Might make you decide that whatever your personal problems were with each other you would carry on the things you do agree on. Maybe Talia never forgave her father for casting out Bane but she was able to look past that and see the rest of the man and what he stood for and realized she still loved her father despite her anger and that she agreed with his mission.

The relation between Bruce, Talia and her father is way more complex in the comics. Also, if you play video games, you should play the Batman Arkham games :)

@13:47 You keep calling the police stupid when you’re not looking at events through their point of view. As far as they are aware Batman is the far larger and more important villain having supposedly killed multiple cops as well as Gotham City’s DA Harvey Dent. Who a lot of the police admired for standing up against crime(this of course before they found out the truth) and making it easier for them to do their jobs.

Oh I love all your reactions to Nolan's trilogy, love them! In this vid, I appreciate how you not only notice the child is a girl, but also immeadiately point out she didn't use the rope, nice! This trilogy is still my fave version of Batman, but then I'm one of those folks who wanted Christian Bale to play Batman long before WB hired Nolan to helm the Batman movies, his name was high among the fan casting in message boards / forums (this was the ancient internet days before social media 🤣).

Imagine watching a react/commentary video and being annoyed that they react/comment during the movie... I love watching people play through games that mean a lot to me. I found that Twitch VODs uploaded to KZbin feature a LOT of the gamer reading chat and missing stuff. Is it frustrating? Sure. Did I leave a snarky comment berating them for doing what you're supposed to do on Twitch? No, I just closed the video and looked for something that was more my speed.

I was horrified to see at almost the end of the movie part of your video -- 43:15 -- a text ad for a pirate movie site, which is unethical, immoral, in violation of international law, in violation of KZbin rules, and all around a crappy thing to do. Please remove that and please don't ever do such a thing again, okay, guys? Thanks. Pirates kill the movie and music business. Do you want people to pirate your own videos?
