A fun alternative interpretation is an assassin of some sort disguising themselves as a servant and gaining information on various important figures before killing everyone at the aforementioned fancy party. “Challenger” and “Revenger” could possibly be people at the party fighting back and losing, only acting as entertainment for the assassin but ultimately not being fulfilling enough.
