I am much closer to being convinced of the method of Christ's birth then I was a month or 2 ago based on this interaction. However, how do you explain Luke 1:34-35, where Mary stated that she never knew (engaged in sex) with a man, and the angel responded with the Holy Ghost and the power of the Highest would overshadow his response to her question? Why would he not say instead that she found favor with God and after she and Joseph engage in intercourse, that they baby would be of the Holy Ghost? The way the scripture is written would lead any reader to believe that Mary wasn't pregnant because she never had sex, but would become pregnant through God's intervention (in a miraculous way).

I appreciate your comment and I’m excited to hear about your journey to the truth. Luke’s account of the birth of Christ was not only second hand, meaning he wasn’t an eye witness, but he’s also attesting to a different time than Matthew. What do I mean? Luke’s account of the birth the angel appears to Mary. In Matthew’s account of the birth the angel appears to Joseph. And the angel is appearing to them both at different times. To Mary before they had sex and to Joseph after they’ve had sex. Not questioning the possibilities of God for some reason makes people automatically assume something miraculous happened. As if it’s something that defies logic. Doesn’t have to be. Why? Because if Joseph was a “just man” and wanting to “put her away privately” doesn’t mean divorce. Mentally he’d be ready to have her stoned. Because before the angel appears to him to confirm what’s going on by the Holy Spirit he would be under the impression that’s she’s been with someone else. People make it seem as if he was just sad and disappointed and just wanted to secretly leave her…🤨. That is not biblical nor is it culturally accurate. And this is where we start finding holes in the immaculate conception theory. Remember they’re only engaged. He wouldn’t have to divorce her. Only way he’d have to divorce her is if they’ve had sex. Because that’s the constitution of marriage. Think about it. If it’s public knowledge that they are promised to be married how does he “privately” put her away???? He’d have to put himself away. Because after some times wherever he goes people will ask him. WSP WITH YOU AND MARY? WHEN YALL GETTING MARRIED??? There’s no way of escaping that. But in reality he out her away privately to spare her the shame of having sex before it was traditionally and culturally appropriate NOT LAWFULLY. They were well within the lawful rights of marriage but nit tradition. And what did Christ eventually speak on later in his life???? This very issue. People putting more emphasis on tradition and not the laws of TMH. Matthew 15:9, mark 7:6-16. The very thing Christ came to condemn is what he was being effect by from the very conception of his life all the way to the time he gave up the ghost. And that’s miraculous to me. Also showing life starts at conception and not delivered birth.

At the end of the day, no matter how Christ got there, only the most high is to be worshipped, and the Holy Ghost was involved in Christ's conception, possibly by just implanting the spirit of Christ into a body that resulted in Joseph and Mary engaging in sex or causing a physical creation. There are still too many other scriptures that say things like Luke 3:23, which, interestingly enough, is in parenthesis (as was supposed) that Christ was Joseph's son. Matthew 1:24 also states that Joseph didn't touch her until she had brought forth Jesus. Wouldn't it technically say touch her again?
