Wat een mooie hedendaagse muziek, zonder de bekende vieze wanklanken en overbodige effecten, in mooie vormen gegoten! Je lange vingers (hmm ... lekker bij tiramisu) helpen daarbij om mooie en nogal moeilijke (vermoeiende) akkoorden te maken en je gebruik van harmonieken is functioneel en mooi verweven in de muziek. Ik heb werkelijk genoten van je muziek hoewel ik in deze gevallen meestal een ouderwetse zeur ben. Werkelijk Karlijn, dit is prachtig!!! What beautiful contemporary music, without the well-known dirty dissonances and superfluous effects, cast in beautiful shapes! Your long fingers help to create beautiful rather unusual and fatiguing chords and your use of harmonics is functional and beautifully interwoven with the music. I really enjoyed your compostitions although I can be an old fashioned grumpy. Really Karlijn, this is beautiful!!!

I would guess that the second piece was created in a time of pain. Those dissonant chords are such an interesting and unique way of portraying those feelings. I've never heard anyone use chords like that before.

I enjoyed this concert. On this channel I have heard many artists who feature their own arrangements of standards, but never original compositions. Her works feature a plethora of techniques; melodious harmonics, dissonant chords, and percussion of the guitar top. Her music is of a flowing expression; rich chording, and a tactile sense of melody. It is refreshing to see one so young compose prodigiously, and explore artistic license within the realm of the classical.
