@@jimingpeng5203 The western side of the line does not include the populated area of TX. Main cities and metropolitans in TX such as Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, etc. are not in that field. Some of them are near to the line but still locate on its eastern side. The population of the western area of the line only contains a minor part of that in TX. Therefore, CA plays the main role in the population of that area.

I am sure Texans won't view them living in the east half of the country.

@@jimingpeng5203 Well, I know that. You are right. But I just discuss it according to the concept of this video. It merely talks about the regions separated by that line but not the eastern or western half of the country from the point of view of the people. Similar to that point of view of Texans, some people in more geographically eastern states like Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, and areas like Western Tennessee/Western Kentucky also view themselves as Westerns. But that will lead to a geographic misconception and result in an endless debate which is not a key point of the discussion about this video. And that is not what I am focusing on as well.
