The ancient theatre of Taormina (Italian: Teatro antico di Taormina) is an ancient Greek theatre in Taormina, Sicily, built in the third century BC.
History
A Hellenistic theatre stood at Taormina from around the third century BC. The remains of another Hellenistic building have been found under the Roman cavea. Under Roman rule, the theatre was rebuilt, probably around the time of Hadrian or Trajan. It was remodelled in the third century AD, with the orchestra turned into an arena and the stage removed.

Giardini Naxos (Sicilian: Giaddini; English translation: Naxos Gardens) is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Messina on the island of Sicily in southern Italy. Founded by Thucles the Chalcidian in 734 BC in Magna Graecia, Naxos was never a powerful city, but its temple of Apollo Archegetes, protecting deity of all the Greek colonies, gave it prominence in religious affairs. Leontini and Catania were both colonized from here. Hippocrates, tyrant of Gela, captured it in 494 BC. Its opposition to Syracuse ultimately led to its capture and destruction in 403 BC at the hands of Dionysius the tyrant, after it had supported Athens during that city's disastrous Sicilian Expedition. Though the site continued to be inhabited, most activity shifted to neighbouring Tauromenium. Yes, the Indians also held the Adriatic, and they clashed with the Illyrian tribes. There is also the town of Daorson, off all roads, which is a reliable sign that it is at least 2500 years old. The walls are megalithic, without mortar binding, with perfect edges. It still stands today, outside of all roads, and legend says that it was built by giants. This is Herzegovina, where giants live to this day, in the nearby river leanders, they found huge boats buried in the mud at a depth of about 10 meters. in Herzegovina there are about 65 thousand Stećaks, stone monuments, which originate from that time. (wikipedia says that they are only a few hundred years old, but that is not true. Skeletons of giants were found under some of them, and genetic analysis determined that they belong to the local population. So, the Balkan nations, Serbs, Montenegrins, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia ,Slovenia, they have always been there..Albanians are constantly trying to get into that picture. But, people are becoming more aware. There is a project on the genetics of haplogroups (12 of them, related to Europe). it's called EUPEDIA, and if you type, you can compare the haplogroups of Georgia and neighboring countries and peoples, such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Avars (people), Ossetia, Abkhazia... I have examined it in detail. I believe that the least mixed with other peoples are the Ingushes, with 88% of the J2 haplogroup, (typical of the Caucasus), the highest % in the world.
