Dean Ellis yeah be way better
@timproctor93045 жыл бұрын
u are correct he should have a fatter tire on the front than the back, but the front tire hes running is front wheel specific so hes probably better off running them that way around anyway as thats how the front tire was designed to be used.
@anthonymoon77465 жыл бұрын
I heard from GMBN DHF: Downhill Freeride DHR: Downhill Race
@timproctor93045 жыл бұрын
maxxis advertise them as front and rear specific. But never the less you want a faster rolling tire on the rear and a grippier one on the front so it doesnt change anything. whether it mean front or freeride.
@davidgaskin73225 жыл бұрын
Maxxis DHR is better used as the rear tyre because it digs in and brakes better than the DHF. Plus like said tou want the wider tyre on the front.
@christianrasmuss5 жыл бұрын
Hi Harry. In 2019 you need to pack the mtb and a few friends and go to Saalbach in Austria and ride all the bikeparks in the area. Everything is scaled to epic proportions and the trails just keeps going. It will rock your perception of mtb riding for sure...
@harvuk77295 жыл бұрын
saalbach is pretty sick. we did saalbach, leogang and schladming in a 4 day trip. all 3 parks are within 2hrs of each other :)
@senseiborwick52595 жыл бұрын
A safe psi to run is 35psi. It will be fine pretty much on all terrain except serious street riding. For street riding I run 45-65 depending on the tire. For lots of jumping and drops off-road, 30-35 psi is good. For mud, mild snow and super technical trails that are mainly natural and don't include many jumps, drops or rocks, you can run 18-30 psi. For extreme snow and mud, you can go as low as 15. For high speed tracks with big braking bumps, highly varied terrain, rocks, drops, jumps and chutes which is what you seem to mainly ride, I would run around 30-32 psi. Love your channel Harry.

have you ever thought about trying to get abroad to do some mountain biking? Try switchback in spain the guides out there will get you doing everything you can think of and the trails are so fucking sweet! they have two places one in Bubion and one in malaga, hit me up if you want some details about it I can get in touch with one of the guides or send you to the website. Also I'd say ride about 25-28 PSI
@rubbersidedown56205 жыл бұрын
PSI wise for that terrain it's pretty much as high as you can handle. A lot of the riders will ride 40psi at Whistler Bike Park but I personally find it to be far too skittish across the small washboard bumps and harsh in the braking bumps and prefer to run at more like 32psi. For steep technical terrain I run at 20psi in the front and 22psi in the back when using tubes. Tubeless you need at least like 25psi in both tires because otherwise on a steep descent that goes into a 90 degree turn you tire could burp right off the rim as is what happened to me before I learned to use more PSI in the front on tubeless. I can't speak to what the pros are riding however for me I'd personally put the 2.5 minion in the front and the 2.4 in the back as it will provide more front end grip and you will find you roll faster as most of the rolling resistance comes from the back tire which is where most of your weight sits when you ride.
