I think the worst thing is it doesn't matter now if it's a new DJI or Hero camera, KZbin will still compress the shit out of it and ruin the quality.

@RemiDalton-r2r The KZbin encoder for 1080p is absolutely horrible. It will make the best video look horrible. The 4K encoder is much better, and it's why I always upload in 4k.

You're spot on! I can't watch youtube videos at 4K, it lags like a mother effer, which makes watching stuff like this unbearable. I have a powerful PC, and have tried to find a fix, but it doesn't exist. 1440p runs OK, but to get the motion smooth, like intended, I have to play these videos with the 1080p mode.

@@Smettli That's odd. Everything plays just fine in 4k for me. I can't stand watching stuff in 1080p. I'd google some stuff and try and find a solution as there's no reason you shouldn't be able to watch in 4k.

THANK YOU for covering the fact that the hero 12 has it's own max lens mod, there are some channels that are posing it as this "great new feature" but leaving out the fact that the old ones are the same and comparing them side by side like the old max lens mod doesnt exist

@@JordanBoostmaster My complain about the new hero 13 is that it is the same camera with new firmware (i could have been a simple update for the 12 or even the 11), and they made all new accesories not compatible with the previous generation for no reason. On the other hand, DJI changed their battery, but the shape and size are the same so you can still use the older one on the new camera. It is so sad that I bought their latest camera 6 months ago and now I can not use any of the new accesories. They literaly sent me to go fuck myself.

Tested about 12 magnetic moutns for gopro and had same issues as yours with almost all. But finally I found Ulanzi IN01 IN03 kit and its awesome. There is literally 0 tolerance there + its comatible with DJI mounts.

Nice ride! After 3 weeks of buying and returning every Gopro-style action cam (Action 4 twice, Ace Pro twice)...I finally settled on a new Gopro 11 for $365 CAD off Amazon, and it still has internal GPS if I want it. At least it's (hopefully) more reliable than my 9 that's been plagued with its notorious bluetooth issues and frequent dropped frames that Resolve gets very cranky about. The 13's too pricey but I bet that's where the next gen of DJI's and Insta's will be priced too...I'll stick with the last-gen stuff...it's the same goddam thing with a different model number on the case ;)

Thanks for useful video! Is there any chance you can compare these Super/Hyper FOV's with the new DJI Action 5 Pro? Can't find such precise comparison anywhere else on YT but for sport climbing the max vertical FOV and overall no/stretch of the image is crucial.

Honestly, I think the insta 360 ace pro is the best action camera on the market right now. My friend has one and it looks a lot better than the GoPro especially with the ai. Love the vids dude!

You can just barely hear the rattle, but all you need to remobe it is put a piece of electric tape between the surfaces, to take up the slack :)

I feel like the new view has a bit too much motion blur on youtube? I'm watching in 2k on a bigger screen, so maybe that's it? I just seems a bit hard to focus on the flow of the video because the FOV has things going by a bit too fast.

wow well I bought this hero 13 for the magnetic mount just for mountain biking and being able to take it off my full face chin mount very easily but if it makes that rattle noise its useless :(

Why not just use 8:7 in superview? Do you really need the ultra wide lens, whats the benefit?

this is wider with the ultra wide lens though, both horizontally and vertically, you don't get as wide with the normal lenses

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like the noise from the go pro is noticeable on my left speaker. ND filters are nice, considering that the standard shutter speed on film-cameras have always been 1/48, when filming at 24fps, (European standard is 25fps with 1/50 shutter speed) which is a lot smoother and what we have gotten used to with Movies and TV-series. Of course, 1/120 - 1/240 is better when filming fast moving stuff with a go-pro so the footage doesn't become too blurry. I used to work as a cinematographer in the film industry before go-pros existed :)

the sad thing is that it's supposedly a new camera, but in fact it's just a software update, so almost everything could have been added to hero 11 if it weren't for the greed of gopro. They show how long you can squeeze money out of a customer who has been buying exactly the same thing for almost 5 years.
