When i was a kid i dragged my dad (before he split) 6 hours to come see yall in ATL...when yall were going strong After the show.... At the merch booth Emma and the other guy were in and out sitting down and doing it for the exposure etc.. But YOU were at the merch booth standing up and meeting EVERYONE the whole time...not just "hi" "bye",but actual conversations...parents,kids, security, you even gave me a free shirt Fans can tell who loves the fans and who sees walking dollar signs...you love the art and the fans I will follow whatever you do

I'm late to the party here, but sick puppies got me through some crazy times in my life. I remmebrr doing security at the frwsno fair grounds and you guys were playing, and instead of jsut strolling by me like everyone did, i was at rhe director's hall, in a suit, you guys waved at me and I said im a huge fan then you told me to meet you guys at the autograph booth. Hey Shim, My name is Shane. I want to thank you, and I want you to know that YOUR words, YOUR lyrics, and YOUR passion has honestly saved my life, countless times. I have been a fan of yours (including Sick Puppies when you were the lead) since Welcome to the Real World debuted two days before my 8th birthday. I had already been through some severe trauma before I found your music which was part of why I was listening, so not only did the words hit me to my core, they gave me words to describe the pain that I was going through. As I grew older, my toxic and abusive environment got worse, along with my life as a whole. More abuse, more trauma, some partying and drugs. In my darkest moments, I’m talking crisis, loss, grief, wanting to end it all, your music, alongside Linkin Park and Papa Roach, were and still are some of the musical anchors that keep me going and give meaning to the suffering. Your words, your music, helped me to regain my identity within the chaos of my life and not let the world define me or mold me into what it wants me to be. Until they cut you, Sick Puppies was the answer I gave whenever someone asked me what my favorite band was, and Shimon Moore is the first answer that I give when someone asks who my favorite songwriters, guitarists, and vocalists are. There’s not a single song that you’ve written (either in the band or on your own) that I can’t relate to in one way or another. In between toxic and abusive family, toxic and abusive relationships, my accomplishments, my failures, not letting the world kick me down and keep me down, how to wake the hell up and so much more. I’ll be 30 this year, and out of all the artists I’ve ever admired or listened to, your lyrics are the most authentic and real. Whatever you decide to continue do from now on, know that your words have saved lives, and your talent and passion is recognized, I believe your future children will be beyond proud. With the exception of Lemmy in Motorhead (which Ironically you're wearing a Motorhead shirt I see) or like Neil Peart in Rush, you can almost always replace the drummer or the bassist in a band. Very few drummers or bassists are so iconic in their bands that their spots couldn't be filled by someone else. However, almost no band can replace their singer or their guitarist and sadly your band tried to do both. You are the sound of Sick Puppies so without you, it's just a different band and I mean no disrespect to your former bandmates, but it's not the same. You couldn't replace Ozzy Osbourne with RJD who is arguably a much better vocalist without it being a different band. Same with replacing DLR with Sammy... not Van Halen anymore. Big mistake on their part and I sure do miss your band. Few bands have the ability to put out 3 albums that are just so well written.

Truly helped inspired me to really get serious with guitar playing and all these years later I still am. Dude I went through this in 2022. I was booted from the band I started for no good real reason. These were people I thought were good friends, friends above all else. It was pretty hurtful in the way it was handled. We could have talked it out and figured out a path forward but it was like a weird coup where they all turned on me. My one bit of solace is they've done fuck all since I left and are now down to 2 members.

Today, a Sick Puppies song came on Spotify, and I remembered how much I loved the band’s music, in particular, your voice & songwriting. Decided to look you up again, and found your solo album Shim. Absolutely loved it!! My favorite song is probably Kaleidoscopes, but there are so many other good songs on the album. "All the same" is a song I ripped from the free hugs YT video that I still have on my "forever awesome" playlist and every so often I check for a remastered version... today I found a bunch of Sick Puppies albums I didnt know existed (I moved countries with just "All the same" guiding my journey... and when I saw a new album coming 2025 I went back through (found the older albums like tripola and HATE myself for missing them somehow bunt bingeing now with your new stuff!)... then went to find comments on the official band video about why its not on streaming or apple music. FINALLY found something saying you were "kicked out" ... then found this. Yes, we care. You are the heart and soul of those songs, and they still bring us right back to moments in time qe needed them thr most in the snap of a chord progression... sometimes we need them now for a different reason. Your creative investment has not been wasted... but apprwciate your honesty and vulnerability about the situation. Thank you for sharing what was so isolating about certain times... some of us are facing those and need to be reminded to keep fighting :) Just... thanks for sharing with us where you are now, Shim! I haven’t liked anything the band did since Shim left. Thats not a dig on the band or the new guy at all. Some of the biggest bands in history have had members leave, get fired and the band never wrote anything great after. You can be the most famous singer and not have a successful solo career. Most great bands write great songs because that group of musicians are musical soulmates who’s ideas and talents align to make special music and the tensions many bands have arguing about the music makes it special and not just one member getting their way. It’s very rare that one musician can write great songs completely by themselves. Just because one of the members doesn’t write songs say the drummer for instance doesn’t mean they are replaceable because when the drummer plays the song that was already written for the first time and adds that feel the song needs or makes the song change even a little bit well that can be the difference of a good song being great. The music sick puppies and shim have made separately since the split is ok but it’s not great. They need shim just as much as shim needs them and please nobody take offense to that. They should get back together and make some fucking amazing bangers again.

I love all members of Sick Puppies, but if the band were to break up, I really think Shim should have gotten the rights to the name. A Brand New War, Secrets, Kaleidoscopes, these all have the same energy and spirit as songs like Odd One, Maybe and You're Going Down. Fury just feels like another rock album. Its cool hearing Emma's playing and singing but its really no different than the style new Three Days Grace plays.

I feel like his bandmates did him dirty …they acted extremely immaturely and became toxic toward one another … and I think because they got drunk off the fame money and status quo…but what they didn’t realize was that Shimon was the heart ❤️ and soul of the band and with the most amount of talent … so even if they found a semi decent replacement. They still gotta live with the fact they are mediocre at best and are gonna have to bag extra money for a song writer ✍️, music producer ….and their manager handled things badly … Shimon I still think you are awesome and got my brother into your music 🎶… Enjoy your Freedom 🎉🎉🎉

"Dressed Up as Life" and "Tri-Polar" are brilliant! I still listen it sometimes. I was also on your Saint Petersburg show back in 2014. It was first and only show in Russia just before you broke up... Such a luck that I got chance to see you alive before band collapsed and before everything! To be honest it is such a shame that Sick Puppies doesn't exist anymore. But thank you for that two albums. They are part of my past.

It's "What are you looking for" and the line goes "You won't be thinking of cars when you're on your deathbed and dying" because the song is about hoarding money and things instead of focusing on what's important, and realizing it at the very end. Still accurate though!
