My first boyfriend in high school made this our song. He was known as a guy who slept around with a lot of girls in high school. I was dorky and I had no idea about his status. We didnt last long but when he broke up with me he told me that I was an odd one and I was never afraid to be myself and that he admired that. He said he couldn't hurt me because I was too innocent. This song is still very special to me and I hope he is doing okay.

Sick Puppies is one of those bands that shouldn't have amounted to anything, with their not-especially-remarkable Lifehouse sound and Puddle of Mudd image. But there's just enough uniqueness in the sound and likeability in their music that puts them over the top and makes them memorable.

The girl has this thing where whenever she touching something it burns. It's a kid being rejected whenever they try to get close to someone because they're different. When the guy comes up to her and puts on the gloves he ignores what makes them different. That resembles someone being there for the kid. They "put on the gloves" to let them know that they're not alone. At the end when he gets hit by the car she uses her "power" to bring him back. Basically, every weakness has a strength.
