Fun fact about the magazine. 25 is the maximum number of 5.56mm rounds you can stack in a straight magazine, after that it needs to have a curve to it.

Actually, the FAMAS F1 (the one in sandstorm) shoots at 1, 000 rpm, not 1,100. The one that shoots at 1,100 rpm is the FAMAS G2. Btw, i love your videos lol.

Incorrect. So glad you’re using Wikipedia for your firearm information. Official French Infographics/manuals from the manufacturer states the cyclic rate is around 900-1,100 rounds per minute for any FAMAS or FA-MAS variants. Usually around 950 rounds/min on ideal situations.

im a famas user and TRUST ME the learning curve is true my average k d with normal guns is about 6 13 and im not that good but w the famas its a solid 12 9 depending if the map is more close range than long range if you are a CQB’ing always reloading and a psycho who is obsessed with polymer use the famas or be another m4 or honey badger npc also i almost never run dry with the famas and i always run light carrier also ik theres gonna be that one reply “HoW dO yOu GeT dA mOdS” i dont use secondary weapons i see them as useless unless your running marksman with a bolt action anti materiel or machine gun so not having a secondary gets me enough for a recoil grip non magnification scope and 2 frag grenades

@@angusc-w5226 With 25 rounds, the last "burst" is a single shot, which in theory prevents the nasty surprise of finding you're out of bullets. But yeah, in practice, nobody gives a flying f- and standard STANAG are indeed better. Which is why the FAMAS was upgraded to accept them. (But only marines used the upgraded version. Because the French Army is that cheap.)

Famas was introduced to the game to counter the 5.56 fast fire rate/bullet velocity from security side (VHS-2/M4). AK-74 is a garbage and only good weapon before was FAL, but FAL is a big weapon and only have 20 rounds. Famas imo is the best CQC and 1v1 weapon in the game, if you attach x2 scope and loading grip this weapon shreds (balanced build, if you want more CQC/rush try aiming grip). Recoil after some minutes in the training range becomes natural, so you need to use loading grip or aiming grip to maxizime her potential. Famas is the only 6 points weapon that is worth it the points invested.

Well a bit late but fuck it. The FAMAS is actually one of the most broken firearms in the game currently. The reason for this is the recoil, or lack thereof. Ignore the stats; when it comes to recoil, firerate is something to consider. A weapon with a high firerate will have less recoil on a full-auto spray, and the FAMAS's insane firerate of 1000 RPM makes it a laser beam. Seriously, the FAMAS has less recoil than the Uzi. Do a few sprays at the Range and you'll see what I mean. I'm fairly sure this recoil-firerate thing is a bug, but while it's still in the game (and it has been since 1.7.1) the FAMAS and VHS-2 are very, very broken.

You can say that but even if that was the case 25 rounds and garbage iron sights make for a gun which requires more attachments to begin with, it's a lot easier to just run something like the AKM and actually afford gear outside of an ok primary. A 1v1 with a FAMAS looks like waiting the 3 seconds it will take them to run out and reload and then punishing them for using a gun which can't keep its bullets.

I mean, sure you can push the guy when his gun's dry (although anyone with decent trigger discipline could get a number of kills off of 25 rounds on a two-shot firearm), but I think that's a problem in and of itself if you can't win a 1v1 against a FAMAS user if he still has ammo in his weapon.

@@marksmanmax1158 If you're going to say '1000 rpm op' and then say you can get a bunch of kills with 25 bullets and a two shot kill that just isn't true, because even feathering the trigger on the famas means five bullets out at least, so you're either using semi or burst which either way won't fully utilize the 1000 rpm. Obviously you can't have it both ways. the reality is it's an ok gun that's really good for like 2 or 3 kills per mag maybe but for the most part tends to just dump way more ammo. If it was half as good as you said people would use it like crazy but it's just too expensive for what it is.

@@SickSnipes I'm gonna revive this thread by stating that FAMAS is in fact the best weapon in game bar none. Why? Because it has virtually no recoil when you put it in three round burst. It's a frickin laser beam. Put OKP-7 on it, and you're Godlike. And you still have 8 points to spend. Only reason I am using any other weapons (and Classes) is that I like variety.
